Good communication from the host, and all questions answered. Not fancy, but very much to our liking. Many options for simple breakfast.

It was muggy, and there was no air conditioning, but that is common for this area. They made a good effort to provide fans and to increase ventilation at night.

The room was clean and great value for money. I didn’t need to use the additional facilities but the room itself was comfortable and worth the money we paid.

It was very warm overnight, appreciate that’s a personal preference though.

They offered me free cereal and toast but I was leaving fairly early so I declined their very kind offer.

The location was good for us ( visit to St.Winifreds Well ). No food available in Hotel - but many restaurants and takeaways close by , as well as a Lidl and Tesco literally a few minutes walk away. There is also a small kitchen area for people to use if required ( although we didn't use ).Room was comfortable and clean and overall we were Happy with our stay at the Hotel.Would we use/stay again ...Yes we would. :)

The only issue that I'll mention is that after a day of rain there was a "drain" smell in the Bathroom - which wasn't pleasant as the smell had crept into the bedroom first thing in the morning.I did mention it to Ian, who we saw outside on our day of departure, and he seemed surprised and said that he would investigate.

Central location-kitchen facilities adequate if you wanted breakfast

Decor a little tired but very good value for money overall

Room size was very large, plenty of room I was surprised by the addition of a fridge in the room ideal for keeping drinks cold ready for when you go out. Bathroom was not too small, no bath, but I wasn't bothered by that. I prefer the shower just because it's quick and convenient soaps were on hand as we're the towels. I did notice when reading the welcome leaflet that there is a small kitchen area that is available to use so you could use the microwave and toaster, etc. Plus, breakfast cerial are there if you want to indulge. Plus tea and coffee are provided in the room.

The only things I could fault were the kettle that didn't switch off automatically not really that big an issue just turn the switch off at the socket. The TV the signal kept on breaking up making it hard to actually watch anything this may be a WiFi issue with signal strength at a guess.

My go to hotel when visiting N Wales. Really comfy room. Great to have use of the kitchen. Very clean. Great location and welcoming owners.

Good location at the entrance to town from the A55 and at the head of the high street. I booked a single room but ended up in a double so plenty of space. Thanks for that. Good to have access to a kitchen and it's contents.

Not much to see in Holywell, which is not the fault of the hotel.

The room was clean and well appointed. It was handy to have access to the kitchen as there aren’t many places to eat in Holywell, so I managed to grab something from one of the nearby supermarkets. Great to be able to help myself to toast and cereal in the morning too. Ian was very friendly and was there to greet me and show me to my room. Convenient location for anyone walking the coast path and good value.

The bedding and towels were clean, but a bit old and in need of an update.

This is the second time I’ve stayed at this hotel and I am booking to stay again.Ian is a wonderful host. Nothing is too much trouble.I cannot say more than I love this hotel!

Nobody’s fault but I didn’t like that I had to climb stairs but I have to at home so I really shouldn’t complain.

Rooms are clean and tidy as well as being comfortable. Great location with easy access to where I needed to go. Very friendly and helpful host.

I arrived much later than expected, after midnight, and still was greeted on the doorstep and shown my room. The room and bathroom were spacious and clean.

The only downside was the room temperature, it was too hot and I struggled to open the window!

Breakfast is help yourself to cereal and toast, tea and coffee. Some cereal was out of date.

Mattress was far too soft- slept badly and had back ache afterwards. A shame as otherwise i would stay again.

The property was close to the location. Excellent value for money. Clean, tidy and warm. Room had recently been decorated. Staff very amenable. A good place to get your head down after a long day

This is a great budget hotel find! Very comfortable bed and bathroom really good. Everything I needed for an overnight stay. A kitchen equipped to sort out your own breakfast is a great idea. Thank you. No financial penalty for being a solo traveller! Fab! Highly recommend.

It wasn’t easy to contact the hotel when I arrived early, but they did call me back.Your towels have seen better days and could do with replacing.

Easy to get to, free secure parking, staff were great, check in/out very easy and the room was excellent for the price. Would definitely use again if I needed to be in or around Holywell
