Coldra Court Hotel by Celtic Manor

Reception staff were super lovely and helpful. They were really child friendly - I was a little worried the hotel would be ‘too nice’ for the kids but we weren’t made to feel uncomfortable at all. Beds were really comfy and plenty of room in the rooms.

Breakfast wasn’t amazing so wouldn’t rush to have that again for the price. But that’s the only negative for us!

The lady on reception (can’t remember her name)but was very helpful and accommodating due to the pool being closed which was something we was particularly wanting she kindly gave us complimentary breakfast which we was very grateful, she was a lovely lady understanding our issue , excellent customer serviceWas able to use pool in other hotel also but had to drive there which is not the same as just walking to and from your room. But all reception and other staff we met where helpful and friendly very good team you have

Love this hotel, stay frequently

This time there was a hair in my bathroom which wasn’t mine, something spilt down the bathroom door. A very small bathroom with the sink outside and no lock on the door. Also a bit dusty around the plug areas and no plugs to charge phones etc next to beds.

good atmosphere, room was clean, gym was on a small size but acceptable.

I was disappointed to find that i have to pay for parking and even more disappointing to not see these details clearly when i was booking my room.

It wasn’t,t clean. The restaurant table were emptied but not cleaned. The bedroom was 6/10 for cleanliness.

The swimming pool was closed which was fine but was told we could book for the Celtic manor but was no available slots, will be booking again when the pool is open

Staff were very friendly and the food at the restaurant was lovely.

I didn’t like the way I was told that the facilities pool /jacuzzi ,etc were shut for work until 2 weeks after I booked the stay at the Coldra and this was one of the main reasons why I booked this hotel.

Good size room nice and warm, nice staff working.

English Breakfast is really not the best... someone should taste it before serving..But it was more food to have a good breakfast, so not overall ok.

Break away for valentines

Room wasn’t very clean rang reception/room service/ maintenance all evening couldn’t get answer so went to reception myself at first but then same thing occurred all evening

Going in is lovely, it feels like the 4 stars it claims to be. Staff are fantastic and friendly

I can only speak for our room but it felt dated & tired. Some of the paint work & seal around the bath looked untidy. The water pressure in the shower was also very weak

To whom it may concernI recently booked a night away for my son and his girlfriend this was their first valentines and first hotel stay I booked it on booking .com and sent a special request for a double bed I also checked on booking.com that the spa was open and working and it said it was just had opening hours etc on there so went a head and booked it cue the complaint my son got to the hotel and was asked for a £60 deposit that was fine but again wasn’t mentioned on booking .com he then asked to book the spa and was told the spa was closed for refurbishment this was again NOT mentioned on booking .com he rang me and told me so I messaged the coldra court and spoke to the receptionist and they confirmed that the spa was closed and said that it stated that on the COLDRA COURT website I explained I booked with booking .com NOT coldra court and was told that they could use Dylan’s spa which was a 5 minutes drive away ! I explained they don’t drive and was on a budget so a taxi there and back was out of the question I asked could they be moved to a different hotel with a spa and was told no because they had checked in .

Clean and good sized room, nice staff.

Old mattress with a mattress topper, low water pressure and pool unavailable, car park not complimentary. Could have got exactly the same experience at a Travelodge.

The rooms were lovely. Breakfast was lovely with lots of variety.

The pool was out of order. Poor communication on the people staying in the rooms, tried to charge for breakfast.

Excellent location and comfortable room. Breakfast was very good.

Free transfers to the Celtic Manor would have encouraged us to use the facilities there.

Was charged twice for breakfast, as a disabled guest that couldn’t get to the restaurant

The staff were very friendly, our room was fantastic, our meals were very tasty, the whole atmosphere was very relaxing. Just what we needed.

Lovely rooms and nice bar area.

You have to pay £13 a day for parking. The spa facility was shut and I had to drive to the main resort- only to be told it wasn’t the main resort and needed to get a bus to the golf club facilities. Then limited to a 45 minute spa slot.
