Pros +

  • The location its amazing and the building itself its very old and quaint
  • The location is splendid, right in the heart of Canterbury, just a few minutes walk from the cathedral. The building itself is once hosted Charles Dicken, which is really cool. The room was neat and a good size. The staffs were all really friendly. Would come back if I visit Canterbury again.

Cons -

  • We got the Cathedral room at the top of the hotel. The floor was extremely uneven because of the age of the building, which is fine, but the bed consequently was sloping and felt all wonky, they could have try to level the bed to avoid the feeling of rolling out of it at night, plus the pillows were terrible contributing to a horrible night sleep. We stayed in April so the temperatures where not too cold but the radiators in the room where fully on bringing the temperature of the room to what it felt like 50 degrees, and wasnt possible to adjust it because the valve was broken and there was no thermostat. The hotel provided some fresh milk for our breakfast but unfortunately it was off turning what could have been a nice touch in a fail. The bones of the room were great but unfortunately the decor was a let down and didnt reflect the age of the building.
