    Pros +

    • Delicious food at diner and breakfastGood parkingComfortable and specious roomNice staff Historical building
    • The old lady who took my key at the desk when I left was friendly. She didn't speak English but she said have a nice day.
    • All great, dinner in the restaurant, breakfast, very spacious and perfectly cleaned room, very good hospitality.

    Cons -

    • I don't know where to begin; from the downgrading of my room when I arrived, the nonchalant non English speaking staff to the waiter not dealing with a situation where another guest tried to kick me out of breakfast because he thought the whole room was reserved for a bunch of pensioners. I can't believe they have 4 stars. Deserved 2.
    • Breakfast normal, but in bright spacious room. Nontheless our travelflask was filled with no hassle and good wishes for onward journey.
    • All info (menus etc) are only in German - staff only speak German.

This old establishment rose back from the ashes- literally. The rebuild is clean, spacious and well thought trough, much of the salvaged interior was integrated as features. Good location with a main road which you do not hear as the rooms facing the rear & North Frisian trees. Relaxed, we were not hurried at dinner and the roast beef (local beef) was devine and tender, green beans and aspargus super. Receptionist was superfriendly and positiv.

Room 63 is a lovely brand new(ish) large flat with a 'to-die-for' bathroom/shower. Alas no coffee nor tea making machines/kettles (as shown on photos)

All info (menus etc) are only in German - staff only speak German.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Great breakfast.

We stayed in a room in the annex. The room was very damp, and we even found slugs crawling on the carpet in the morning. We had read many great reviews about the hotel and believe the rooms in the main house have all been renovated. If you stay here, ask for a room in the main house when you book.

Really nice place? We paid about 170€ for a night with breakfast included. The spa area was nice (might be too cold in the winter).

I needed a hotel close to the meetings I had over a 2 day periode and the location for me with Hotel Historischer Krug was perfect. very friendly staff, made me aware that due to low season I had to eat in a certtain time span, which was absolutely fine. I got a great room om the end of all, which meant I suppose that the room was really quite. I visited because of work and was very happy with the work area in my room and also the quality of the WiFi - never a cert that it works, but here it was great. breakfast was also great with all you could want for, and then some, I sense that many more than me was there for work, and all got their spacial orders for breakfast eggs - wich was kindly supplied.

I find myself struggeling to find something, but should I point ous something it would be the food, I was asked to eat before a certain time (wich was fine) and there was not very much to chose from - dispite this, dinner was very expensive, and did not measure the quality, having said that it was enjoyable and wholesome.

The idea of it being an old inn. The receptionists willingness to help when we arrived, and the waiter’s friendliness.

1: The inn “feeling» was gone, by the interior design, the selection of decoration, etc.. In some places it felt more like a hospital than an inn. 2: When we arrived (around 5pm) there was no more space in th restaurant. We had not been warned about making a reservation beforehand and assumed we could get food. The receptionist arranged it so we could have an early a la carte dinner after all, but the bouillabaisse we got was a real joke! And there was no dessert available. 3: The website advertised charging of electric cars, but the system was apparently broken .

Got an upgrade and a free chocolate...

Firstly, I ordered this hotel spesificaly because of the Tesla Charger at the hotel. It did not work. Have not been for the past two years, according to staff. The staff could not specify when the bar closed. 9 or 10,or something... Pool advertised was not openSteep prices at the restaurant

Breakfast was good and oatmilk was provided.

There was no vegetarian food available in the restaurant, which really took us by surprise as it was advertised as a gourmet hotel. I should have asked beforehand.
