It was in a nice location although hard to find. It was an overnight stay as we were going to cite de europe for shopping next morning. It was set in a square. Looks like converted stable blocks. Car was safe as off the road a bit. Key was inside unit and door unlocked. 2 big rooms upstairs for sleeping. Beds good. A basic small kitchen and dining/ living area.

Shower was really dirty. Hairs and grime and shower broken so had to hold shower head. Tiles slimey. Horrible. They say that the guest must clean everything or face substantial fines. We left it in better condition than we found it. They leave a new sheet and pillow case to replace but no mention of duvet changing so assume this is left for next guest to sleep in. !!! . They dont clean anything themselves so fully rely on guests to clean. Thats why lots of areas mucky. No television. Very noisy as a group of French decided to drink outside most od night. Would never book again. Apparently they havnt been going long. Lots to learn. Trusting guests to do a clean is also going to end badly. As mentioned we left it cleaner than on arrival. The pool was very misleading. A small circular above ground pool that was dirty and in a field

    Disappointing

No beds , mattresses on the floor , no ait condition, fridge door broken, can't use the fridge, the pool closed at 7 pm , No provided sheets, but we got for 1 night but was used , hair on the sheets... so I will not go back .

The location of the property was amazing, just what we wanted, the owner was very friendly and helpful too. The property had everything we needed, well equipped kitchen as well as the rest of the property.

The property looked tired and in need of a bit of TLC, some areas could have been cleaned and bins emptied, which were not when we arrived. The fridge smelled and the dishwasher still had dishes in it. The rules regarding the bedding were also very confusing, so I would say it would probably need to be simplified as it made no sense. There were no towels provided and the shower did not have a shower head holder in it. Like I say, the property could be amazing, but needs work and upgrading and a good clean, due to this I would say that the amount we were charged for the room was overpriced given the condition. A shame, but hope that this feedback could be used to improve the property, as it could be really amazing.

Very quiet and peaceful. Lovely old building , inside clean and modern.

The location was excellent. Very quiet and relaxing but within easy reach of nearby shops and places of interest.

The old stable rebuilt for appartment has a very good vibe, there is also a nice garden.

The cleaning fee is not in price included and we had to clean the appartment and change the bed linen after our stay.

    Disappointing on all levels

Everything. The place is very run down, very dirty and lacking any pride in its upkeep. Its true nature was not accurately portrayed within the photos on booking.com.We felt so uncomfortable that we were compelled to leave a day early.

    The setting was quite nice

The children’s beds were on a landing and if one of them had rolled out they would have fallen straight down the steep stairs. There is no way they could have gone down the stairs at night to go to toilet and I wouldn’t have wanted to either. No lounge or TV

The location and the setting, an old farm, was great, outside areas to let our 3 dogs have some space after a lot of traveling. Very rustic and chilled.

Our room, number 6, had extremely steep wooden steps and the 2nd bedroom was up even more steep steps, with no handrail. The wifi was very weak. The kitchen utensils were very basic, there was no sieve for example. Also, at the time we visited there was some staff upheaval and a series of recurring power cuts. I hope these issues are resolved in the future, because the property is potentially a great place to stay, but it needs work.

Very friendly owners greeted us on arrival, and we were given a tour of the Gite. It was superb, well heated, comfortable, and with just about everything one could want for an enjoyable stay, including a dishwasher. There was a log burner in the main living room with a plentiful supply of logs for that extra cosy feeling. The bed was amazingly comfortable, and the linen was beautifully fresh and crispy to the touch. All in all, the perfect stay in the perfect location. Didn't get to try the countryside walks, but that was only as I'd walked my feet off all day. 10 out of 10 for everything

    Nothing at all

Isabelle is the only Trump card of the site.

The renovations and works done in the appartment we stayed in (n°8 The loft) were very badly and cheaply done. BIG SECURITY RISK! Do not go there with kids of young age. On the mezzanines, the bars are just small and thin MDF bars screwed on only one side (lower part). If a kid tries to lean on it, it will break and the kid will fall 2,5m. Also the access to the mezzaninez is very dangerous because there is nothing to hold on to (except for the bars that break the moment you even touch them).WiFi is of very bad quality. From the 3 days we were present, it didn't work for one day (evening). The matresseses were extremele uncomfortable. It was clear they were the cheapest they could find on the market or maybe even second hand market. The dinner table was a small table on which they put an old wooden gliding door as table top.The previous occupants left a plate with spaghetti in the microwave. It was still there at our arrival and a lot of mold had formed.Everything was still quite dirty, like the cutlery, and plates. We had to wash everything before use. The kitchen tawel was dirty. The bedsheets from one of the beds was yellow and there was no pillowcase.

La Ferme de Wolpuhus is a farm that has been converted to a number of flats. It is close to Calais and only five minutes away there is a nice local and very affordable restaurant. There is a kitchen and a washing machine, toilet and shower. Beds are very comfortable.

It a bit weird that you are expected to make the beds with fresh linen before checking out. I would call this a hostel, rather than hotel or bed and breakfast. It was not very clean when we arrived, but maybe this was just bad luck.

    Location

Shower broken. Rubbish under beds and not the beds that were shown when booking. Sofa bed not shown and to class a sofa as a bed is joke

Very welcoming host who bought A slide out for my three children along with a board game. A great space for the kids to run around outside after a long drive. We will be back again!

The location is incredibly practical for the tunnel/ferries and yet in the most beautiful, peaceful setting.

After hours of driving, this little gem was what we needed.
