Van Der Valk Hotel Rotterdam Nieuwerkerk

The restaurant is very warm and welcoming with big windows like staying in the garden. It was rainy so we need to sit inside and the decorations is like home. Room size is excellent, bathroom was very modern and super clean. We orderdered hamburger and open sandwhich. It was delicous.

The market kisok corner near the reception was really empty. Not many choices. considering the location of the hotel which is 20min walk away from the closest supermarket I would expect full shelves with different choices of beer/wine/chacloate, chips, etc

Excellent room, very spacious and clean. Hotel facilities are great. Friendly staff at the restaurant. Indeed, we enjoyed both their friendly behaviour and smiles. Food at the restaurant was more than excellent.

Rented a bicycle. Service required. Reception staff could be a little more friendly on the evening swift. The bicycle rented was not there and instead of an apology an unpleasant smile was received. The bicycle given was not perfect as the seat was moving. I am an experienced cyclist and could do the ride but in general would expect more for the money paid fro the bicycle.

I booked a taxi. It cost 20 euros for a five minute journey. My problem is money changed hands between the receptionist and the taxi driver. I was ripped off. I reported this when I returned to the hotel to have it all pushed under the carpet. This is a disgrace

Large comfortable room and super bathroom. Everything was spotlessly clean. Lovely view over the lake. The staff were helpful and friendly.

the room was amazing big with a good view to the lake, the bed was really comfy and good. the tub was the best one we have had so far in a hotel, the bathroom in general was amazing. vendor machines with everything you could end up needing for a hotel stay was good, water, shoe polish etc.

some of the staff was a bit confusing in the restaurant, before getting our dish we already encountered 5 different waiters and every time we had to start over and explain we do not speak Dutch. when we sad down our table was wet and de had to clean the plates with our napkins. The food and wine was good and the breakfast was amazing.

The best of this place is definately the restaurant, good the food, good the service, everything is working very well

Ok, I've been here several times, what we find all the times is a very "serious" reception.. I do not recall a single smile provided by the receptionist ever. Anyway the hotel is awesome, 5 min of check in and check out, even if it's not pleasefull, it's not a big deal ;)

Hotel is still under renovation but really beautiful. You barely notice that there is work going. Super quite , food is amazing, staff are professional and great at customer service

No water in the room. Paper cup very poor alternative reception not really friendly and short with words

The staff is not real attetive, not at reception, nor half of the waiters (a few male waiters were great, most females, restaurant & breakfast below par. Most room doors need a paint; elevator doors wete ectremely dusty during entire stay

The room was spacious with good view to neighbouring pond. Big bathtube and modern shower added comfort. Choice of food for breakfast was good. The hotel offered transfer service and the city bus stop is not far either.

It is not that important but I noticed that the TV was a small old-type analog-TV, no modern IPTV services, apps, Netflix, etc. It wasn't problem for us bot some guests maybe expect more nowadays.

Nice room, everything you would need. Nice on site restaurant and good selection for breakfast.

More food choices on restaurant menu.In my room, lots of limescale on tiles and external seal to shower, big build up very obvious and could easily be rectified!

Had an amazing 3 day stay at Van Der Valk Hotel. Rooms were spacious and had everything you needed (lovely smelling toiletries provided), gym had a nice view of the water, wifi was strong, the on site restaurant was amazing! Best food.

Location wasn’t central to much but only 20 minutes on the train to Rotterdam central.
