    • My stay at the Playita was nothing short of amazing. Staff is super friendly, location is perfect and everything was on point. Imo it’s a bit pricey, but I guess that’s what happens when you are staying on an island. Only negative thing was the wifi, it kept connecting and disconnecting, but I am sure that was a temporary problem. Thanks for all, would definitely stay again
    • All the facilities were beautiful, Internet is perfect and the food is amazing!
    • Staff are super nice and always make sure you have what you need. Karen at the front desk desk was super nice. I was given a courtesy upgrade which was a really nice treat. The island, the hotel location and the community are just amazing.

    Cons -

    • /
    • There was not plenty of water on the sink outside the bedrooms. The bedroom is pretty small, you do not even have a chair or a hanger to organize your own stuff. Not all the staff was friendly.
    • In general, it is a good accommodation for those who want to go to Isla Fuerte, eat delicious food, party and enjoy the island. Ana was super friendly throughout our stay.If you are looking for rest and tranquility, it is not the ideal place for you, but if you are looking for an authentic place full of energy and much more youthful, and pure partying, stay here. There is a party almost every night.I recommend taking transportation with them directly, which although it may cost a little more, it is worth it because they are very organized with everything.I found the food to be of good price and excellent taste. I recommend the fish burger, coconut lemonade and red snapper.Perhaps they would need to build a swimming pool or a freshwater area to cool off. It does not have a beach and although it has an area to swim in the sea, we did not go in because it was quite deep and close to the rocks. But many people came in and bathed without any problem. The experience with the staff was one of contrasts, excellent service from many of the boys and girls who serve you with love. But in the meantime, several local people treated us quite badly and even made us feel bad and that part perhaps discouraged us a little, especially the local island staff, it seems like they don't want to work there and it seems like you have to beg them for everything and they look at you really ugly. If you only ask or say something to them once, the truth is that there is a lot of work to be done with the community so that they understand the importance of good service if they want the island to progress. I understand that it may be a cultural issue, but in reality it is They would have to review it thoroughly because it was disappointing that the only ones who were friendly were the non-local volunteers. It was a good experience in general and it shows that it is a growing accommodation.

Nice location and bar, friendly staff.

The shared bathrooms definitely need more attention! The flushes very often didn‘t work, you can imagine the result.

Very nice facilities and friendly staff. The location is great!

We loved our stay here, hay the opportunity to relax. Only minor things to improve: reduce noise from surrounding music at night

    - location: it was easy to be dropped off by boat at their dock and find reception. Furthermore, there was easy access to the town and other beaches/things to see on the island. - Visual appearance of hotel: the hotel was very visually appealing and right on the water which we liked.- Food: although a bit on the more expensive side (which is what we expected) the food was tasty. We would however recommend eating in town. It’s cheaper but also it is much better. - Safe in room: the safe in the room worked, this was an added bonus as the door lock is very flimsy. - We arrived early and they had a bag storage so that we could enjoy the day.

    1. Lack of awareness of guest sleeping. Although music late at night did not bother me (the bar plays it until 12/1am). We were awoken before 8 am with staff talking loudly/screaming and moving tanks right beside our room. 2. Description of room we felt was sneaky. We were under the impression that we had a private bathroom but upon reading further they state that a private bathroom is one shared bathroom a short walk away from the room with private stalls. This caught us by surprise. If it was stated that you had a shared bathroom that would not have bothered me, but it was the way it deceived us. Maybe it was just my interpretation. 3. Upon checking we were suggested to leave a 10% tip on everything we bought at the hotel for service they claimed it was going to be great service (after stating this they said it was “optional”). At the restaurant/bar there was no one serving. We had to get our own menus and request service. Although I know there is a culture of calling your sever over when ready, usually there is a greater who will bring you the menu. It also seemed like the wait staff were not well versed on what they had at the restaurant (for example they didn’t know what the fish of the day was for one of their popular dishes). 4. There was a couple of holes in the wall right at the head of our bed. That anyone walking past could have peeped through. We hung a towel over the net to stop people from being able to look in. 5. Check in times are not well listed. Check in is at 3pm and checkout is at 11am. 6. Finally, there is constant construction happening on the property. Starting very early in the morning until later in the evening. While we were sitting by the water, they decided to start cutting roof tiles which sent dust flying everywhere and in our direction. Not only was the sound awful but that dust is extremely toxic to breathe in.

nice Hostel, suuuuuper friendly and welcoming staff, delicious cocktails, beautiful surroundings.

    - it’s quite loud till midnight and early in the morning - the food was a bit bland

    - Staff : nice and try to help as they can. - The view from the common areas is very nice. - We had a room with a double bed + 2 single beds, comfortable enough, then we had a room with a double bed but no bathroom/toilet (quite small room and not great not to have our own bathroom but it was the only one available)- Food : considering it is an island, the food and beverages (cocktails) are very good.- Diving centre : recommend it although they could be better for organizational matters, especially being on time to go out diving- Overall nice atmosphere , more of a party place than a quiet place to rest. - Special thanks to the females at the front desk. - Pet friendly !- The hotel coordinated the boat to go to the main land.

    - NOISE : the rooms are all facing the main area where the party happens pretty much every day, so if you're looking for a quiet place, go somewhere else. - The check-in procedure is way too long. Although they responded correctly at the end, we booked twice through booking and we had already paid for the room and both times they made us pay again the full amount (and with a slightly higher price). When we noticed we told them and they arranged the bill, but they could improve this, more organization and rapidity would be much appreciated. - The back of the hotel and where the staff live is in a pitiful dirty state. It is shameful not to maitain all areas clean of garbage and in a better shape. Even the staff deserve a cleaner space and if it is their own fault, I would advise to train / educated them on being respectful towards the environment- Some members of the staff (especially young female waitresses) can improve their attitude and education. If a question is asked, an answer is expected, they act like they don't care, this is typical from many "costenos" in Colombia but given that it is clear that an effort is made to train the staff, this is an improvement that I would suggest. - About other guests : some guests are very rude and don't mind being very loud at all times, they put their buffers (music) everywhere, loud and they bother other people. This is the hotel responsanility to ensure respect for the other guests and this should not be allowed. It is not up to oneself as a geust to repriemnd the others, but thehotel stff should do it, it should be reminded in the community rules.

the setting is really beautiful! It was pretty peaceful during the day.

Our private room was a lot smaller than it looked on the pictures & did not have a lock. The room was right next to the dorms which had a huge group booking so it was really loud during the night & pretty hard to sleep. also the brownie was definitely not worth the money, was just a cup of ice cream..

Staff is friendly and helpful, the restaurant is great! There are plenty of activity proposed (at an additional cost).

Loud music all day. Lack of space to chill by the sea and lastly the quality of the dive center of the hostel, I did not feel secure with the instructor as I use to in other places.
