Pros +

  • Perfect for a one-night stay. The place isn't newest or luxurious, but the room was clean. Beds and bathroom ok. I was satisfied.
  • The atmosphere, the hidden art gems, architecture, comfort and specious
  • The location was perfect as it was right next to the train station, yet it was still a quiet nights rest. The staff was incredibly kind and treated me very well, especially as a solo traveler.

Cons -

  • The water in the shower was a bit weak
  • This is a typical case of you-get-what-you-pay-for. When I arrived, the front desk was unmanned and I had to call the manager, who came after just a few minutes and checked me in. I paid the room beforehand thru booking.com, otherwise I think they only accept CZK cash at the front desk. When I arrived to the room, the heating was turned off so the first night (with almost 0 Centigrade outside) it was quite cold, With the heating was switched on (centrally) it became much better. The hotel is quite old and while there has been some renovation, they haven´t changed the windows. And the smell from the Indian restaurant in the corridors was rather strong and irritating and you can´t get breakfast in the hotel (buy some sandwiches at the railway station).
  • Some of the furniture was a bit old. The shower could have been a little more modern. Still, quite good value for the money.

Good location, good beds, right in front of the Český Těšín train station!

The water in the shower was a bit weak

The hotel has a very good location just across the street from the railway station. You can very well stay for cheap here and commute to Ostrava. My room was huge! Rather basic, but calm and quiet. And food in the on-site Indian restaurant was good! Wifi also good.

The location is conveniently located close to the railway station. Reception clerk was polite. Value for money was good.

Some of the furniture was a bit old. The shower could have been a little more modern. Still, quite good value for the money.

Cheap and love the art that is spread throughout the hotel. Also the furniture - is above Retro, it is actually genuine older furniture but very well preserved.

It takes quite a while for the shower to have proper hot water running, like a minute or more. Recepcion is not always open, even to check in at a reasonable time like 18h20.

It is exactly what you are expecting from the hotel. Cheap and very modest, but clean, comfortable and very well maintained, so there is hardly how to be disappointed. The location is perfect, right in front of the train station. Great value for your money.

Nothing bothered me that much, just the water in the shower perhaps could warm faster and maybe would be cool to have 1 proper body towel instead of 2 hands and face towels for a single individual. But again, this is just a detail.

Good localization. Well, it has a certain charm 'from the epoque ;) ', but needs a refurbishment. The room was clean and tidy, and the bed was very comfortable. Quiet at night. Friendly staff.

Refurbishment is needed badly. The bathroom looks like from the 70'ties, and there was this weird smell from the pipes.

Very friendly staff, perfect location, comfy rooms, good indian restaurant in the hotel

there are parts of the hotel with very weak, almost nonexistent wifi service (although it's always good on the corridor), so it's best to ask for a conveniently located room with good signal

smoking room was great idea. wish more hotels offer this. hotel surrounded by small shops, food and all other needs. restaurant on bottom floor. small fridge in room.one of the only hotels to have elevator

the heating turned on when wasnt needed and when needed it, it was not available\on. you wont regret your stay though! wifi could be better. fairly slow, bad connection. but it was FREE

Very good location

The hotel needs some investment, it looks rather obsolete but in fact sleeping there was quite convenient.

An old school hotel directly opposite the train station. - nice room with a view of the street.- location-size of my room

- nothing really. I have stayed here so many times. I know what to expect.

8JoannaPosted on: 9-11-2022

Swift check-in and check-out, the hotel is open all night, perfect location with many free parking spaces in the street. The bed was extremely comfortable. The hotel's interior and decoration were dominated by brown stylistic which seemed a little gloomy, but the room was clean, and the Wi-Fi was working well. No breakfast was offered, but there is a breakfast bar just a few steps away.

Convenient location right next to the station and attached to a great Indian restaurant next door. Staff are friendly and helpful.

The room was a bit hot and stuffy, with poor air circulation. Cash-only payment at the front desk if you extend your stay.

Great location and unbeatable price. Nice bathrooms and an Indian restaurant within the building

Very little. The decor is a bit faded, the carpets old, but it’s clean, was quiet on my visit and a small problem I encountered was sorted promptly. For the budget price it’s a place I will use again.

9BrnojackPosted on: 4-18-2022

- it's a very basic hotel across the road from the train station. Perfect location.- accomodating staff- a nice Indian restaurant in the hotel building.

- a problem with the room they gave us, but that was solved almost immediately.

9WeufrPosted on: 3-11-2022

Great place, stayed here for 2 times. For the second time got even better room than expected with a beautiful view. The room was clean and comfortable, a little bit cold in the winter. There is a little kitchen, so it's possible to make tea. Good location near the train station. There is a supermarket , some pubs and nice place with Czech kitchen near the hotel.

First time I got a room near the smoking room, so sometimes I felt the smell of smoke.

Cheap. Good location.

Lack of a desk.
