    Pros +

    • It was a very pleasant stay. We happened in the days when it had just snowed, which made everything much more beautiful and suggestive. The rooms were typical of the area, very clean and comfortable. Super breakfast, nothing was missing. Warm welcome from the owners who were very kind and helpful. Too bad this stay was so short. Recommend this B&B, we will definitely be back!
    • Breakfast and the location are super. The house is in a small village surrounded of green fields and mountains perfect for hiking.
    • Fantastic breakfast, fresh and tasty

    Cons -

    • Corridor and common spaces can be more clean
    • Breakfast was basic in our view - could be a bit richer (e.g no cakes, croissants etc). Also wifi was a bit poor at times.
    • Uncomfortable mattresses with almost flat pillows. There was no hot water when we got to the hotel at around 9-10pm and really needed to take a shower.

Spacious and clean room (for a family of 3), very hospitable people, easy self check in, nicely located and great view to the farm.

Breakfast was basic in our view - could be a bit richer (e.g no cakes, croissants etc). Also wifi was a bit poor at times.

Great location in Black Forest. Balcony in the room was a great addition. Decent choices of food for breakfast.

Uncomfortable mattresses with almost flat pillows. There was no hot water when we got to the hotel at around 9-10pm and really needed to take a shower.

Our stay here was very nice. The self check-in worked very well. We missed a little bit a warm welcome as we arrived around 20:00 but this was not a big issue. The rooms are very big, with lots of space. Very clean and with everything you need. If you arrive in the evening make sure you ate something as there is not much open at that time. Freudenstadt is only 15 mins away by car so there are more options there. Our room was on the second floor, and here the balconies are a bit more "closed" comparing to the first floor rooms where you have a bigger view of the fields. We asked to move to a room below but unfortunately they were all booked so we stayed put. Not an issue for us, as the owner explained this to us very politely. The area was great, surrounded by high tress so it is great to take walks around the village. Many other places are easily accessible by car so it is easy to explore the North of the Schwarzwald National Park. All in all we felt very welcome here and Janina did a great job making us feel like home. We also felt that a lot of attention is paid on cleanliness and sustainability. We really had to look hard to find any plastics or any waste, but it was almost impossible so we appreciated this. We hope to return one day.

No phone signal but WLAN was good in the house. My wife had signal though so it is also related to the network you are on. maybe a small fridge would also be beneficial in the rooms.

The older woman helping at breakfast was friendly. We have a very gently great Dane which has joined us in over 20 hotels in the past few years without any issues. We also never had a conflict before when going on holiday. Unfortunately, our stay here was ruined due to a conflict situation with the host. Although we specifically looked for a place where dogs are welcome (and for which we pay extra), we did not feel welcome here and would not recommend staying here for people coming with a (bigger) dog and/or people who do not speak properly German (everything is in German without translation).

At arrival, the host was not very welcoming but started complaining about how we created chaos with our reservation. We changed the dates (one day later) via booking (which was possible as we chose a flexible cancellation policy). Then upon confirmation, Booking asked us whether we wanted to upgrade to a bigger room, which we did. Unfortunately, we did not get this room. While this was not a big issue for us, it was not very nice that the first thing the host started talking about was how this created chaos and that we are not allowed in the bigger room because we do not have kids and because the dog is not allowed in the bigger room. If this is the case, which is fine, it should be mentioned on the site (which was not the case). The next day we went out for a hike, and when we returned, there was a paper (all in German, no English translation) on the bed. When I went down to ask for an explanation, it came to a discussion in which the host very blamingly mentioned that the sheets of the bed, in her opinion, were extremely dirty due to the dog (we have a very gentle great Dane which is taller than the bedside) and we had to pay 30 euros for cleaning. In reality, there were two minor stains on the back of the bed, which came off immediately with some soap (picture attached). We also had a sheet with us that we laid over the coach for the dog. All in all, we found the communication very unfortunate and did not like the fact that the host came into the room to check the sheets while we were not there. The next day, we received yet another paper during breakfast from Google Translate. As a result, our stay was not relaxing here and very stressful. I suggest making proper English translations and talking directly to gasts in a friendly way when there is an issue. That way, it might be resolved without ruining people's stay.Other minor things: - no soap in the shower- the pillows are very soft, so we took our pillows upstairs the next day.

location, food, behaviour, room, balcony….all were good. Horses can be seen from your balcony. nice breakfast. Plenty place for parking. Behaviour of the stuffs were exceptional.

Restaurant was not open on Sunday. But you can find one within 6-7km.

The location is fine, a quiet village. The room was exceedingly comfortable, very spacious, with a wonderful view from the room’s balcony. Breakfast was good. Everything was very clean. Good bakery nearby as well as several restaurants from nearby hotels., and s small grocery store. The area is beautiful! Internet was excellent.

Only shortcoming, practically no interaction with the owners, with the exception of the first morning when we received a small map of the village. We were new to the area and would have appreciated a little more information. When I needed an extra blanket and pillow, I found the cleaning woman and she was helpful.
