    Pros +

    • Peaceful
    • The bed was terrific and the shower was decent.
    • We stayed for 1 night. Arrived at 9pm and left after breakfastWhen we arrived, we thought it had closed down as all the shutters were down and we couldn't see any lights on. The owner who greeted us was very pleasant and checked us inThe room as the rest of the hotel is very dated. It looks a lot nicer on the web site.It was clean and the bed was comfortable enough. Unfortunately the walls are paper thin and there was another guest talking on the phone at 3.30am for a very long time that disturbed our sleep. I couldn't wait to check out.The breakfast was fine breads, jams, yoghurt and coffee for 7.40 euros each served by a very pleasant lady

    Cons -

    • The door didn’t lock and the staff was unable to remedy it despite us being the only occupants. The car park was exposed just next to a main road leaving us concerned for our vehicle.
    • The hotel does not offer wi-fi, despite what it tells you on the site. I was offered breakfast via an email on Booking.com. I accepted this with gratitude, but the next morning I was told there was no breakfast available, as the bakery next door was shut. Very disappointing.Further to this, on the night of arrival, there were no restaurants open in the town, so I had to get back on my motorcycle and ride to a nearby town in the pouring rain to find a restaurant.I would not stay here again.
    • Very dated hotel and noisy. Nowhere to put your clothes and no hairdryer

The owner was friendly, the breakfast was French (croissant, fresh baguette, home-made plum jam, local honey) and the coffee was good.My room was cosy and at the back of the building so fairly quiet. I imagine that rooms on the street side would be noisier.

In the picture, all the shutters were open. The reality is that seen from the street, you could well believe that the hotel has closed down because the shutters are all shut and there is no light on in reception. When you first arrive, you have to pass through the bar because the main door is shut and you need a code to open it.The shower in my room was very small and the shower head did not stay in place. There was no light switch near the bed so to turn off the light, I had to get out of bed. There was no WiFi in the bedroom so I had to take my PC down to the bar to access internet.
