Pros +
- Perfect location, beautiful food, great staff
- As usual a warm welcome from the staff. A lovely room overlooking the front. A superb meal as always with attentive and helpful staff. Excellent breakfast. Always a pleasure to stay at Chateau Les Muids as it is comfortable and relaxing.
- The building and setting is beautiful
Cons -
- The large television on the fire place somewhat spoilt the ambiance of the room
- The bathroom is very fitting and authentic for the room but shower was tricky to use as hand held not fitted overhead.
- Our room felt like a ‘junk’ room; furniture was of poor quality; no head board above the bed; the toilet seat did not fit the toilet; the basin taps were badly fitted; the blanket had hairs on it; the list goes on. The restaurant had an extensive wine list but could not produce a bottle of wine we ordered. The food was tasteless. There was nothing fine dining experience as advertised.

The heating.

The castle looks great and surroundings are very nice, you can walk into the forest from the hotel. It had charm, there was a Christmas tree and a nice wood fire in the restaurant. Nice large bathroom.
Our room had dozens of ladybugs. The coffee at breakfast was from a self-service machine. There is an extra charge for eggs. The restaurant offers no vegetarian options - I let them know in advance but all I got was a simple omelet for dinner.
As usual the friendliness of the staff, the relaxing atmosphere, the superb food and excellent breakfast.
A very relaxing and comfortable hotel. food is superb and the staff very welcoming and friendly
I have been several times to chateau les muids. Its a great place if you are traveling through France as it is near the motorway. The building and decor is everything a castle should be with rich wood paneling and decorations that feel traditional and warm. The staff are wonderful. So kind and generous.
It is close to a main road but its only 2 lanes so not a lot of noise.
Beautiful château Comfortable too Excellent restaurant and excellent service in restaurant
Shower over bath
An absolutely gorgeous château with an overall very pleasant stay. The restaurant served a delicious gourmet diner with some beautiful meals. The room was cozy, and yet elegant at the same time. If you’re ever in the are, this is must stay.
The restaurant was exceptional. The food and the service could not be faulted.
There was no room to close the door when sitting on the toilet! There was not much lighting outside the room to see the steps well or lock/unlock the door.
Good breakfast selection
Toilet in room small and cramped. No signs outside to direct you to any bins to dispose of dog poo.
Beautifully presented common areas such as lobby, bar, restaurant
Broken doors to the bathroom and toilet in the room, smelly bedsheets, not friendly staff
Staff were great. Chateau an interesting building and groundsBeds very comfortable Breakfast fine
We were in a seperate annexe , walls between rooms paper thin. Room decor very tired..Dinner was very poor quality
The restaurant food was so good and great valueBreakfast was good
Showers were good but need to be fixed
We were upgraded to a bigger room with a large double bed. The room was spacious with an air conditioning unit and tea/coffee facilities and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom had a bath and a shower and very stylish with a small hand sink in an ante-room.
Location Public areas were lavishStaff very friendly and professional
Room was very basic and poor value for moneyDinner was very disappointing - tasteless food that did not match description on menu - very poor
Beautiful main building and the grounds are amazing. Perfect area for our dog to run around in . Staff are very nice and welcoming
Our room was a bit small (we had a Labrador) so things were a bit tight. Room itself was fine but could have benefited from air conditioning .Warning: the wines are mega expensive so best avoided unless you’re seriously into wine. Also, we couldn’t find any outside bins to dispose of our dog poo bags
Beautiful setting with lots to do including table tennis, crazy golf and a pool
No information about the food on offer, just ‘are you having dinner?’. It’s too risky to pay that much for dinner without knowing anything about the kitchen’s reputation. Unless you have too much money ?
Marvellous chateau in rural grounds. Staff were superb and the swimming pool was an added bonus
