Hôtel Le Vieux Gréement

Breakfast was great .....as was the beach, a short walk from the hotel. The Hotel was supper helpful located in a quiet village with a inner courtyard garden/ seating

Friendliness

Noise of kitchen right through the night and early morning, machines spinning kept me awake, came home very tired.

The location was perfect for local restaurants, shops & only a few minutes from the beach.Also, the air conditioning came in really handy with the 30°+ temperature The staff were really friendly and helped us with our broken French!!

The only downside was the lack of a stand-up shower. The bath shower attachment was fine, but there was no shower screen. People with mobility issues would struggle

Very welcoming after our flight was cancelled. The room was clean and comfortable and the staff were great.

Never had a shower over the bath without a curtain, but we managed

Super comfortable beds, lovely decor, very friendly staff/owners. Nothing was too much trouble. Car parking close by which was free for our stay (late sept). Nice continental breakfast.

Lovely little hotel in Couarde sur Mer, right in the heart of the village. Lovely outdoor space, good bar and great location.

The room was rather small but there was lots of semi-private outdoor space. It was a little challenging getting there but that was an issue with the sat nav.

Great location and hotel. Staff really looked after us despite us not speaking french. Will stay again !

Refrigerator in room would have been useful, but not a major issue. Room was quite small but perfectly adequate for our needs.

Hotel was very cozy, staff was nice. We stayed just one night, which was too short. It had nice restaurant.

Room was pricey, but very basic. Not even a kettle inside, no chairs. Our room did not have its own table and chairs in the balcony outside, even thought other rooms had.

Superb location- right in the heart of la couarde sur mer- which is close to all the restaurants and shops! Our bedroom was spacious and comfortable- soft sheets, and had a beautiful view directly of the Main Street- prefect for people watching!. The hotel has a small and beautiful court yard garden at the back. Excellent hosts and friendly staff who were all too pleased to help. Overall, we had a peaceful, lovely and enjoyable stay for two nights.

The breakfast was a very basic continental. We would have liked a bit more choice- but hey, the coffee and fresh orange juice was good! Perhaps, the rustic bathroom could have benefitted with a shower door and a better shower head.

There was no comfortable chair or tea/coffee making facility in the room. Although I had filtered breakfast included I was charged. Also I had filtered parking there was none!
