Pros +

Breakfast was great- fresh pastries, cereal, coffee, juice & fruit. Short walk from the main train station and bus stop for the airport. Room was clean, spacious, and comfortable even through the curtains and bedspread were dated. Balcony a plus.
Owners very kind and nice. Location is great. We love Vernazza.
This hotel was very close to the train station, so it was easy to check in and not have to lug our bags all over town. They also had baggage storage, so we could have stored our bags there after check out, if we were hanging around town for a few hours.

Cons -

Street in front of the hotel had some unsavory characters, would be cautious about walking in the area late at night, but that is the case in most cities close to bus/train depots.
We found a scorpion in the sink the second morning there, and the wifi was not working.
