    • Parking is practical. Easy access and the hotel is very nice. Staff was helpful.
    • friendly staff, nice room, good beds, wide range of breakfast options......close to perfect!
    • The reception staff are very helpful.

    Cons -

    • It was cold outside (-2 C), and the heating didn’t work properly so it was quite cold in the night. Maybe a specific room problem more than a hotel problem.
    • The breakfast staff treated me without smiling, I think because I look Arab, and this is racist to me. They were always asking for the room number.
    • Trying to order drinks. Awkward.

Everything was excellent! The breakfast was very good, the rooms are very roomy and comfortable, great shower!

The only comment I would have is that there could be better signages inside the hotel to show where the rooms are.

ok, the food was great with a good selection of things for breakfast. the location of where we wanted to be was also super. the bar staff were first rate and very understanding of the problems we had when staying there

this was a hotel group from which i expected much better help and understanding to the problem .. i traveled with my wife and 2 other adult ladies who require the use of a wheelchair . we traveled together so that the group could enter and dance in the competitions they use. when i booked the hotel i looked to make sure that it was disabled-friendly with wheelchair access rooms. i also called them to make sure it was ok for my travel partners. after a long drive from Groningen to the hotel we arrived as planned at 20.30. i planned to check in and freshen up then eat. the room for my wife and i was ok and we could go and do what we needed but i still had things for the 2 ladies with wheelchairs so stayed to bring their bags to their room. we opened up the door and found that both chairs were unable to get into the bathroom/WC. so returned to reception to see if it could be sorted out... the young lady was very understanding and did her best to help us.. we tried 2 other rooms but had trouble moving around the room with the chairs. also given a room that had a smell from the drainage so was unpleasant that it too was of no use to us.. with little help from her manager on the evening shift we made do with a promise that the rooms would be sorted out for us the next day after we returned from the dance competition. the ladies had to use a beuro stool on wheels with no back support to get to shower and do all they needed in the night... not a good thing but our only option / or drive again 3 hours home. the next day after the competition we returned to our hotel to find that the ladies were not able to again get in the bathroom of their room.we returned to reception but there were no more rooms. we decided to not stay the 2nd night and after the manager had spoken to one of the ladies who speaks better Nederlands than i do we were bought off with a diner and drink at the hotel cost before our drive home... refund is promised

All was good, but I was first night not happy with room in basement (ground floor) where all smelled of toilett - up to room. Receptionist next day was very helpfull and we were able to change room for floor - same as reception. I wondered why I received this room, while I was booking almost half year up front. Its punishment for early birds?

    See above.

Breakfast is very good, large variety, coffee is very good!Nice designs, very spacious room.Has big parking for free!

We had dinner in the restaurant 2 times, it is too busy, first time we have waited more than an hour to get the meals. Staff was confused sometimes, they made mistakes with the meal and drink. But very friendly and when we complained they did their best.

The hotel looks good, probably either newly renovated or newly built. The breakfast was good and I appreciated the walk-in rainfall shower. Comfortable beds and clean room. Checked for bed-bugs (as I always do) and no sign of them.

We were assigned rooms 29-31 on the ground floor, but as soon as we opened the doors we were met by an unpleasant smell in each room - definitely something coming out of the AC. Room 29 was arguably the worst, so that guest went up to the reception to ask for another room (which he got, and had no smell problems). Myself and my colleague in rooms 30 and 31 stayed there shortly, but soon decided we couldn't bear the smell and decided to ask for change of rooms but were informed that the hotel was fully occupied and nothing could be done for the night. The only advice the person had, was bringing it up with the morning shift at the reception, which didn't really help the situation.I didn't unpack my bags as I didn't want the smell to set in to my luggage, and ended up shutting off the air conditioning to minimize the smell. Made the stay there feel like I wanted to be done with it and be gone as soon as I could.

It was really clean and the staff was really nice. The food was ok. I’ve had better in an other van der Valk hotel but not bad at all.

    Everything was perfect.

Breakfast was great. The hotel looks beautiful.

We found silverfish in the bathroom, which was uncomfortable. The parking space was very dark. The dependence was not as elegant as the hotel itself.

Very good breakfast with variety, the rooms are also very well-sized. Comfortable beds, large bathrooms. The facilities of this hotel were very nice, nice restaurant, bar, lounges and very friendly staff. Good connection to the highway.

The beds would be a bit more comfortable if it would be a queen-size or king-size bed instead of two single beds pushed together.

Great size rooms, very comfortable beds and good bathroom accessories. Style of the hotel fantastic and welcoming of our dog.

Big and comfy room. Same for the bathroom. Big hotel lobby with a lot of options for having a drink.Clean, easy to access, free parking in front. Not so clear where the room was, I had to ask twice for directions from the concierge.

Not so clear where the room was, I had to ask twice for directions from the concierge. It was outside the main building, together with other ground-floor rooms, hidden behind another building, and with not very visible and clear markings of where it is and how to get there.

front of hotel looked great but they put me up in the old dependance at the back

noisypeople talking outside till after midnightNo supervision by the hotel, although they were aware of the problem

Friendly people, specially at the front desk. Comfortable beds and the area was quite so we had a good rest.

There is renovation going on so be ready to walk among the construction site. Our food at the restaurant was not good. I ordered a Angus burger but it felt like it was just taken form the freezer, so it was like fast food quality.

The room is clean and really big and the staff is really nice.

There was no heater in the room. I pressed the heater sign and it poped up but it is AC mode only. When I turned off the AC, the room is warmer definitely! The hot water was not consistent for showering and taking a bath., I live in the 4 people family room and when I was showering the hot water disappeared. So I took a cold shower instead.

I hate Sleeping in the old cottages... they still got old staffs en we had to hold on to the water kettle to make some tea... I couldn'tuse the bath it was too low for me (old style)
