Great place with very beautiful view. We grasped a glance for romantic view of castle in snowing. We took the best tasty & good looking sunny eggs and scrambled eggs here in the breakfast.Free Ferrero available for your taste is a surprise.Principally you need a car to get there on the top of a small hill.

The room is a little too compact but we could definitely manage by 2 persons.

everything, from the quality of the furniture to the attention to details - coffee and tea at our own discretion in the room, sweets and fruits. a huge bathroom, the view from the braekfast amazing!

Unreal location, couldn’t have been better. Check in as well as check out was smooth, room was great, breakfast was also excellent and everything was close to nearby towns with restaurants. We would love to return and spend more time in Werfen and would definitely stay at the Burgblick again!

The property has a great view of the mountains and the werfen castle! I liked our room a lot too, and they had a vending machine with an array of options if you wanted a late night snack or beer. The bathrooms also offered a great shower which was nice after long days of hiking. We enjoyed the morning breakfast bar as well.

Definitely for folks who are driving only. We rode in on the train and planned to walk over to the hotel, but it’s an uphill journey that gets rough if you have big luggage. From our understanding, there wasn’t any sort of shuttle service, and the taxis were overpriced too. It made dinners challenging as well. One night we just ordered pizza in from Werfen because it took so long hiking to the hotel and we missed a dinner reservation in town. It’s not the property’s fault that we weren’t prepared, but it definitely impacted our experience.

The road getting the hotel is very dark at night and has tight turns. The location while being great, is a ways from many attractions and Saltzburg.

All aspects of this property were excellent for us. Our room was tidy and comfortable (good hot water and pressure in the shower), the staff did a wonderful job, and breakfasts were simply the best - a super spread with a great selection. The best aspect of the property is the location. We spent five nights and found super activities, very close, that filled each day - the Eisreisenwelt ice cave, the high alpine road, the Hohenwerfen Fortress, and the Lammerklamm Gorge to name a few. Our stay at Der Burgblick was only one part of our vacation, but it is certain to be a highlight…

Amazing place! There’s an amazing view of the castle and the all valley, the hosts are kind and lovely, everything is well thought of to the details. The breakfast is nice and the all place is calm. Located on the way to the ice cave so very comfortable as well. Highly recommend!

We loved everything - the room, breakfast, service, and that magical view from the balcony.The bed was very comfortable and everything super clean.

Nothing really. The only thing we personally wished for was the option to have dinner at the hotel. We arrived late and didn’t feel like going out to look for food.

A lovely boutique hotel for adults only with an amazing location directly across from the Hohenwerfen castle. The room was comfortable with a Nespresso coffee machine, mini refrigerator, water, and snacks. The bathroom was interesting in its design. There was plenty of soap, shampoo, etc. The rom included a much-needed fan to help keep cool as our room faced westward and was warm from the sun exposure. One window had a screen which allowed for ventilation without flies coming in. Brilliant! Breakfast was extra for this room rate, and was excellent. One of the few places we encountered in our travels across Austria, Italy, and Croatia that actually covered the food to prevent flies from crawling all over it.

Breakfast was great, with eggs made to order (!).Great view, ample parking, little chocolates in the room were a nice touch.We chose this hotel originally to make the earliest climb to the ice cave (5-10 min drive) but ended up wishing we would have booked it for a longer stay.

The hotel is very nice. It seemed updated and modern. Upon our arrival the very nice owner, Casper, welcomed us. Our room had a fantastic view overlooking the castle. The room we had, as well as the bathroom, was on the small side, however, it was comfortable. In the evening, we had a glass of wine on the attached deck overlooking the castle, which was lit up at night. The breakfast in the lower level dining area was your typical European breakfast, although the wonderful staff offered us made-to-order eggs, which were delicious.

In-person check-in was quick and efficient with the administrative trivia handled digitally in advance. Lots of free private parking. Beautiful hotel located directly across the valley from Hohenwerfen Castle – the view from the hotel is stunning! Local restaurants in Werfen are a quick 5 min drive. Room was large enough for one person to lay out luggage without tripping over things. Good wardrobe space to hang clothes. Plenty of accessible electrical outlets. Modern bathroom was well maintained with great water pressure and temperature control in the shower and lots of space for toiletries. King bed with duvet and big thick pillows were very comfortable. You could open the window for cool fresh air or turn on the provided fan allowing a great night’s sleep. Great mini-fridge and lots of little extras. Standard cold continental breakfast with eggs to order. Communication was both proactive and responsive and front desk was very friendly and helpful providing useful information.

Wi-Fi was sporadic and inconsistent making it a bit of a challenge to upload pictures and conduct video chats. In the modern world, when I’m away for 30 days, solid high-speed internet is a MUST. The shower is an open plan ensuring there will be water all over the floor where you will be brushing your teeth. Pricey.

This small boutique hotel has an incredible view of the valley, mountains, and the fortress of Hohenwerfen, which was literally right out of our window. Parking is right out front and free. The breakfast was great and came with cooked-to-order eggs. The staff and owner were all very nice and made sure our room was stocked with espresso, with the little cookies and chocolates. The room was very clean and modern. We rode the train (6 minutes drive from the hotel to Werfen station) into Salzburg, then took a bus into the Altstadt. That was very convenient. There are so many day trips to do from this place.

The WiFi had a strong signal, but the internet cut out on us randomly.

Breakfast is good; good idea to book with room, not much else around open in morning. Beautiful scenery (field, castle, mountains)
