    • Room smelled of wood which was lovely. Nice modern room with new bathroom and excellent shower. Excellent breakfast. Perfectly located to visit the Linderhof, Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau. Restaurant service was excellent.
    • I was concerned with some recent reviews but: the parking was free, the receptionist was friendly, the three course (half-board) dinner was excellent, and breakfast was good with plenty of coffee machines.

    Cons -

    • No tea of coffee facilities in the room and no water glasses. This was to protect the floor - which was actually showing signs of water damage from cleaning in any case! Very inconvenient not to be able to make a drink and suggested the hotel was more focused on protecting its building than on customer service. Dinner options are limited (no a la carte) and expensive - we are oldish and don't need a 3 course meal. As the hotel is in the middle of nowhere, we had not other options the first night but ate lunch out the second day and brought a sandwich back. Kitchen also closes early - and the food was running out when we dined and the staff were not willing to make extra. There seems a lot of pressure on staff not to waste food which is worthy but not when it means customers are just told they can't have what everybody else ate.Room was a little warm despite our attempts to put the air con system on low - not that it was very clear how that worked. Landed up having to keep the window open and then, of course, it got too cold so I had to get up and close it.Rooms are very poorly appointed for electric sockets. Nothing near the bed to keep a laptop charged.
    • Long queue for check out. The waiter refused to speak English to us and gave lengthy speeches in German despite clearly communicating to other staff in English. Didn't use the pool as looked a bit boring.
    • Unfriendly staff/management. We were with 4 adults and 2 kids (10 and 3 yrs old) for 2 nights booked separately as my wife wanted to extend another night... Booked the extension 6 days before our arrival due to the nice area and we wanted to explore. Hotel responded with no issues for the extension.. Issue was on booking.com somehow miscalculated the number of people in both rooms we ended up getting penalized and had to pay a lot.. Money was no issue for us but this hotel is more focused on it. We choose this hotel as it looks very good in the photos and wanted to chill and relax but ended up feeling so bad and on how we got treated. Usually with this kind of issues in other places we stayed, the Hotel would find a great solution that would NOT ruin your vacation but this Hotel is the opposite, we felt so bad during our entire stay... I don't want to mention everything that happend as it will be too long... As I said earlier we booked 2 nights booked separately 6 days prior to our arrival.. Hotel made us check out at 10u from our first night to change room for the 2nd night which was not ready and had to stall our luggages and things at the reception area until the room is ready... Pool was also closed for cleaning till 13:30 Sunday, not mentioned... Our planning went to the drain.... No compliment drinks (water bottle as I see on their ads) no coffee or tea kettles in the rooms. This hotel felt like a tourist trap no way near an Austrian welcoming hotel like we are used to....

    Beautiful hotel.Great location.Peaceful. Great breakfast.

No fridge in the room.Considering the location and the vibe, very basic pool and spa.

    Awful

    - The free WiFi gets cut off 6 hours after arrival. Make sure you know how to spoof your MAC address if you want to stay online.- The car park can only be entered using a terrible intercom system that just rings and rings and rings until someone in reception eventually lets you in. Expect this to take up to 10 minutes every single time. Strangely, there is no such restriction if you (or a car thief) wants to exit the car park.- There are no electrical sockets within reach of the bed.- There is no drinking water provided (just a coaster with no glass on it).- The room is very dimly lit by 4 lights whose switches are pretty well distributed across the 4 corners of the room.- The receptionist (Thomas) was irritable and rude during check-in. We arrived in good spirits, but he really made the check-in process unnecessarily time-consuming and unpleasant.- The breakfast is absolutely awful. It's understaffed, so almost everything ran out. The bacon was charred black. A single (very slow) coffee machine serves the entire hotel, causing massive queues. The food itself is terrible quality and saltier than anything I have ever eaten in my life.

    Location Comfortable and nice hotel

The room and bathroom are not functional for a family with teenage kids. The bathroom was especially tight, less space to keep towels, clothes etc

New accommodation. In the middle of nature. Great views. The rooms are modern and nice with all the wood.

The food was extremely expensive. Schnitzel with potato salad for €32 is ridiculous, especially when another sign in the hotel advertises schnitzel with fries for €13 ?. Single room is fine, bit some extra pillows and connections for chargers would be nice.

The hotel is in a quiet location, ideal for visiting linderhof castle. The half board food was of a good standard, plenty of parking, and friendly staff.

Comfortable bed, in house restaurant was nice and breakfast was very good.

Strange place this. Appears to be a modern, state of the art hotel but so many things here are archiac. 1. Disabled access. The nearest parking bay is a 100 metres from the entrance. My wife can walk, but it is very difficult for her. I asked reception if I could park in the space just outside the entrance but was told this wasn't allowed - even though a car (belonging to staff I assume) was parked there all weekend. Not good enough really. 2. TV. Old, small and with only 12 channels (none in English or French not even basic foreign news channels). 3. Check out. One person on reception. The hotel was pretty full so the queues were long. I was lucky with only two people in front of me but those behind would have waited 10/15 minutes I recon. Totally unnecessary and to be honest, unheard of in most hotels these days. 4. Some signage as to where reception is would be good. On arrival, I tried three different doors/buildings adjacent to the car park before working out where in fact it was (again, something of a pain for my disabled wife).

Lovely cabin style rooms, interconnecting as requested. Really clean with great views and facilities. Great breakfast. Lovely little pool and sauna and great grounds for relaxing with games provided.

A little bit out of the way so not so easy to get out and visit other places.

Really nice place and all that but there check in procedure (taking details of all, including children, which you had to do yourself on an ipad) was very poor. Took us 30 minutes just to check in for a 1 night stay. In addition, the restaurant closed at 9 (!?) For orders which is a bit tricky if you are arriving late (as we did) as there is nothing else around. They solved this, appreciated, but adds a lot of stress.

    Charging for the car possible!

There are no sockets near the bed, so charging your phone is not possible. Yes there is a USB-A port, but USB-C is the norm nowadays. The bathroom is with a glass wall. You need to close the curtain when you go for the toilet. Strange. And the first hotel with no croissants.

**Nice Hotel with room for improvement in the service area.**Our stay at the hotel was generally pleasant, largely due to its excellent location surrounded by nature, making it an ideal spot for hiking and other outdoor activities. The staff were friendly, but there was a noticeable reserve, possibly due to high pressure from management. This created a slightly tense atmosphere that affected the overall experience. The rooms were clean and well-maintained, which we appreciated. We only had breakfast during our stay, and the selection was adequate, though not particularly outstanding.Overall, a nice hotel, especially recommended for nature enthusiasts. However, there is room for improvement in the service area.

The location and the rooms are beautiful.

The pool hours could have been longer and it was very unfortunate that the pool was closed Sunday mornings until past noon. The racing motorcycles in the early morning.

Nice rooms, all wood, clean, comfortable, quiet. Spacious building.Staff was friendly.

It felt a bit too mich like a factory.

Location surrounded by mountains and forest is peaceful and beautiful. Staff at smaller restaurant was very accommodating.

Rather basic room for the hefty price tag, looked like a sauna from inside. Low beds made it uncomfortable and lack of ventilation left the room quite warm. Despite the nice location, no good sleep. Staff at reception in the evening need more grooming to accommodate guests, given what this place aspires. Breakfast spread was large but it was not easy to communicate with the staff, requests were ignored or not understood. Most guests and staff came across as snobbish. Surely not a recommendation in my view!

The hotel offers aesthetically pleasing accommodations with comfortable rooms and exceptionally hospitable staff. We were provided with an a la carte menu, and the quality of the food and the service were both excellent. The swimming pool is well-maintained and offers breathtaking views. Overall, we were highly satisfied with our stay at the hotel.
