Pros +
- 1) Great and excelent staff 2) Great view from the room 3) They provide SUPs, kayaks and other stuffs to use in the ake for free
- Modern hotel with most if not all rooms facing the Traunsee lake. Modern room decor with all expected conveniences. Friendly, helpful staff. Convenient parking right outside the front door for a fee. Otherwise, free parking a short walk away. Great breakfast buffet, with an incredible selection of cheeses. Good communication lines between hotel and guest ahead of check-in date.
- Love the environment there, it's a very peaceful place. The staff are helpful, and patient. The bed and pillows are comfortable. Breakfast too is delicious
Cons -
- While a gourmet, set-menu evening dinner is a nice, albeit expensive experience, I would prefer, as a foreign tourist, an option to order some “normal”, local dishes from a traditional menu. Except for the toilet, remainder of bathroom including the tub is essentially in the room with no separation in between. This may look trendy, but creates an obvious inconvenience in terms of privacy, lighting and noise.
- The pillows could have been fluffier/thicker. The village is rather quiet which can be welcome by some.
- A bit outdated rooms, window wall between toilet (bathroom) and room.

Tranquility, beautiful view, lovely spa facilities, daily paper with suggestions on what to do, the staff were super friendly.

Hotel location and breakfast. Restaurant located in the hotel.
A bit outdated rooms, window wall between toilet (bathroom) and room.
Super location, spa, breakfast
Location staff comfort
Dining area (on the right ) doesn’t match gourmet cuisine
Beautiful hotel at a great location. Very nice interior everywhere. The breakfast was really nice, and the dining area outstanding. My room was clean and cosy with a lovely view from the balcony. I would have preferred a little cooler indoor temperature though.
If I must find somtehing to complain about, it would be that I didn't like the smell of the shampoo and shower gel.
beautiful location. Room had balcony looking out over lake
Dining options limited
gorgeous place, magnificent view from the window, silence, beautiful alpine lake, helpful and kind staff, in the morning the hotel owner at breakfast asks each guest how the last day went, the gourmet restaurant is the best on the coast. We highly recommend.

the building itself s amazing the decor is wow. the view from the balcony is something unbelievable, it’s really beautiful and cost it’s money
only one little thing, that it’s easy to hear someone from other rooms near you. and the second thing which probably was the worst thing, but didn’t effect the stay that much, is staff. the reception everything is perfect but the restaurant.. they are really sweet and nice, but a little bit too slow and every time we would ask something for couple of seconds they would look at us like we asked something inappropriate. so they were too shy, but of course it’s not about all of them and still the service was 9/10
We loved the views, the spa area and general calm of the hotel. The chef is absolutely incredible and still has us raving about the dinners we had.
Most things come at a surcharge. Small things such as parking are at an extra cost of 10€ per night. A normal late check out is an extra 40€ per person. This took away from the experience and seems unnecessary given the pricing of the hotel compared to others in the area.
excellent location friendly staff cooking on high level room access to lake
due to repairs sometimes noisy.
Superb view of the property.Fine dine style of breakfast with stunning view around
The only thing is the staff off the light directly instead of inform the guest that they going for break.
Location is wonderful, hotel is located directly by the lake, which gives you amazing views.Staff in the hotel is greatly helpful, friendly and really taking care of their guests - it is highly appreciated.Breakfast was nice, offering the wide options of food.
The room was considered as "Mini Suite", but honestly I do not understand where from came this name as it was just a very small standard room with basics - bed, small sofa, small armchair and small table with chair. The decoration of the room is just very basic, nothing special at all. We had direct access to the lake from the balcony, which is definitely great in summer period (but not having added value in November, but thanks for that, of course). The dinner - I understand there are people that appreciate this "high cousin" kind of dining, but I did not get few things - the small portions of courses being served in almost 2 hours which created the space for wondering what is the reason of constant waiting for next course (and by the faces expressions of other guests this was not only our feeling....); food being served on the battered plates (but maybe I am too basic to understand such a high niveau of dining culture..), there was only one menu for all the guests. I would also expect that by having a "half board" - hotel would offer some afternoon snack for hotel guests (as the other comparable level of other hotels do for their guests included in half board)SPA - hotel offers only the sauna (included in price of stay) and the different type of massages, which of course comes at additional costs. I would expect to have other spa options like at least some hot tub or small pool.
- beautiful pittoresk location- great premises with lots of comfort - views on the lake are great- good kitchen - small but nice Spa ( also for massage appointments)
Location has beautiful view. The room is very modern and nice. Breakfast is extensive and good.
We wish they had more dinner options other than just one set menu.
Beautiful hotel with a fabulous view, our room was also amazing.
There is a really wonderful wellness area with access to the lake and a panoramic sauna. Unfortunately our experience was spoiled by rude children entering the saunas in wet swimsuits without any pads, who calmly brought water and food with them. One local elderly lady was really angry for such an invasion of privacy. Perhaps it would help if the wellness area was supervised or divided into an adults only section. Also, better signage about where not to enter in swimsuits and hygiene rules would help. It's a shame that our dream stay was spoiled by loud and rude guests.
What a fabulous place to wind down. Beautiful location at the lake, selection of food and interior very appealing. Very friendly and helpful staff, thank you.
I love the breakfast, high quality of food with many choices.
The nearest train station, Traunkirchen Ort, is not easy to find. It is also not easy to move the luggage cases from there to hotel. Good to learn that the hotel provided pickup services at Traunkirchen station.
