- We were there for a short stay (1 night) but the host went out of her way to accommodate a late request for breakfast earlier than expected. The location is beautiful and the rooms are comfortable
- The owners were very kind, helpful. We felt like being family members. Pension is located in a very small village close to Melk and Shonbuhel castle. There is beautiful view on a small church right from the pension. Room was big and comfortable, so was the bathroom. Everything was very clean. The food was AMAZING! Real home cousin. We didn't even think to dine at some other place once we had our first dinner here. Breakfast also very good.
Cons -
- I would like to leave a review about this place as I stayed there for 2 days. This place mostly matches the description, it is clean and comfortable enough. However, there is a very big problem with customer communication, which the owner might consider normal, but I do not.First, we received instructions for self-check-in. However, I would not call it an instruction because all it included was the code for the safe. But finding this safe with the key and figuring out which of the 12 locks it opens was something I had to guess myself. After a long journey, the last thing you want is to go through a quest to check in. Without a phone call, we couldn't manage to do it. I certainly do not want to interfere with the administration's work, but it would be nice to write a clear template instruction on how to find the safe with the key and which safe number it is.Secondly, the description of this room stated that there is a mosquito net. Our room did not have one, so the first night, instead of sleeping, we had to hunt mosquitoes. The next night we had a choice of either sleeping with a closed window in a hot room without fresh air or opening the window. We chose the option with the closed window. If you have already booked this place, I highly recommend buying a mosquito repellent. There are many mosquitoes, and it is very difficult to sleep with an open window; each of us had between 5 to 8 bites per night.Lastly, the most unpleasant experience: 30 minutes after checking out, we received a message on Booking.com with threats of calling the police because we forgot to pay the city tax of 10€. No one told us about this during our two-day stay. We understand that we should have checked this on Booking.com and left the money, but such communication with the customer is not normal. At the very least, the first message could have been a reminder, not a threat.
- The accommodation was ok, breakfast nothing special but good enough. The color choice in the room was a bit aggressive for us.
- Beds and pillows were very uncomfortable

Staff very nice and helpful. We traveled with our bikes (not e-bikes) and the hotel is on the top of a steep hill - roughly 5 km from the Donauradweg. I came first and after telling them my girlfriend is on the way up they offered a pick up ride to bring her to the place.Every second Thursday a Dance Evening for locals there (austrian oldies), we’ve been invited and it was very nice :)Food from the menu was very tasty, breakfast large and good too.
It was very clean. Room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. There was also sofa in the room which we liked.
