What makes a B&B hotel good? Obviously a comfortable bed and a good breakfast; but hotel Garni offers a lot more! Excellent location right on the Danube river, a very clean room, free (and working Wi-Fi) and very friendly owners. Loved it.

No lunch or dinner options so if one makes it there on a Sunday finding dinner becomes an issue.

Wonderful hostess, great accommodations and a picturesque area. We are pretty happy we found this hotel. The breakfast buffet is wonderful and in the evenings there is even a self service wine bar.

This family run hotel is just wonderful. It is located in a perfect spot (and less touristed!) town in the Wachau Valley. We were able to explore (by car, bike and foot) the Wachau and knowing we would return to a quiet, well run, clean and exceptional hotel. The morning breakfast is elegant and beautifully set out each morning. Although I knew the hotel would be nice, it exceeded our expectations. Calm, relaxed but professionally run, responsive and kind staff (family!). Highly recommend for a stay to explore this glorious wine region of the Wachau.

It wasn't an issue for us - but if you are challenged by mobility issues (need and elevator or help with luggage) then perhaps this hotel would be a challenge. That said they may have ground level rooms that would address this if needed.

Breakfast was delicious and many items from which to choose. All very fresh and we really enjoyed the homemade items.

No complaints, we look forward to returning.

Charming little hotel in the heart of Wachau. Loved the breakfast on the balcony. Walking distance to beautiful trail walks. Highly recommended!

The owners were so polite and helpful and friendly

The ONLY single thing is we were there on a very hot evening and an Air Conditioner would make the stay perfect.

Perfect location, well appointed and clean rooms, wonderful breakfast, exceptional service.

Marlies was an exceptionally knowledgeable and gracious host. Her English was perfect. The hotel was quaint and very traditional Austrian. The breakfast buffet was wonderful and service was great. It was right on the main road, so traffic could be heard during the day, but there was no significant traffic at night and we slept comfortably with the window cracked open in late May.

The rooms were small, though adequate.

The majestic mountains were absolutely breathtaking. Taking walks and seeing nature was both stunning and peaceful. Breakfast and dinner option was excellent. Checkin went smoothly. Staff was friendly, and very helpful. Would love to come back. We recommend it!!

We loved everything!

Great location, close to a Spar, has parking and a lovely garden to sit next to while eating breakfast. Marlies is a friendly and lovely host - so welcoming and helpful! The room was comfortable, the breakfast great and the location is handy to get around the Wachau region.

Excellent breakfast, location in the heart of Wachau Valley. Sparkling clean with staff helpful. Took many walks in the vineyards and out to dinner on foot also. Very relaxing, quiet!!

This is a great location on the Danube. We were served a wonderful breakfast. We like that the mattress was firm. The room was quiet. This was our fourth visit.

Hotel Garni was absolutely wonderful. The owners are spectacular at recommending wineries or things to do around town. The food and view at breakfast was superb and the rooms are wonderful!
