Hotel Lucia - 3 Sterne Superior

Hosts were super friendly. Location was good, short walk to the Oberdamuls lift/run.

The 2-bedroom apartment for 6 adults is not as shown in the photos or floor plan. The hosts were super responsive and were able to find a workable solution for us, including opening up an adjoining room having a seating/lounge area and two single beds. They also offered to do our laundry as the apartment does not have the a washing machine and drier as shown in the photos. We were somewhat surprised that the cost of parking and breakfasts were added to our bill at the end of our stay.

I stayed in the Lucia for 2 Weeks at the start of Feb 2025. It is a nice modern styled hotel, conveniently located between the ski slope (top of Damuls) and the kitchen/ spar shop (middle of town).I was immediately welcomed and greeted with warm hospitality, and had no problem in communicating, even though my German is not very good. I even got free German lessons throughout my stay!The breakfasts were superb, fresh fried eggs every morning, and in the second week I was spoiled by delicious, heart warming 4 course dinners from Marlies & Martin. Marlies also kindly did my laundry for me throughout my stay!I thoroughly recommend this hotel for a vacation; Damuls-Mellau is a varied, quiet, unspoilt ski area that you will just want to keep coming back to. And hotel Lucia as well !

The view from the apartment was stunning. We also got extremely nice weather. The kitchen was well equipped for us to cook at the apartment. Everyday we could go for hikes and sightseeing nearby. They gave a free public transport ticket which could be used in cable cars. That was very helpful.

Very friendly staff, nothing was any trouble. Lovely spacious rooms. Wellness area very relaxing. Breakfast was a great spread with lots of options for non-dairy alternatives. Great value for money.

Stopped there on our way from Innsbruck to Zurich. Great location, family run hotel. Owner is extremely nice and friendly. Rooms are clean. Decent breakfast. Highly recommended.

It was the best hotel in my entire europe trip . The couple who run the property were the best couple i met on my holiday . The hotel was very clean and quiet for relaxing after a long ride.Whenever I come to Austria I would definitely stay here with family .they helped me with her 110% effort to dry my wet riding gear . The effort she made to make sure my riding shoes and gear was dry before morning i was shocked . Thank you so so so much of everything. I wish i could give a 10 star rating .

Nothing to dislike .

Its clean, large rooms/beds, easy to access, plenty of parking. In the morning there are waffles and eggs brought to your table, as are there multiple options for tea and coffee. They also help u get your 'gaste carte' working which lets u ride the ski lift for free. Overall a 10 out of 10 experience. Would go there again easy

The apartment was comfortable and stylishly furnished. There was everything one can need in the kitchen and elsewhere. The staff wasvery friendly. There is a restaurant nearby even in the summer.

The breakfast was standart, but we would recommend some more sliced bread, because there was nice selection of different spreads and no toast or sliced bread.

- Staff/ owner family were really helpful.. We had problem in getting digital Bregenzerwald card but hotel staff helped us in sorting out things and provided us hard copiesof the card.- Everything we needed was available in kitchen.- great window view

The adventure begins at the doorstep (great location). The owners actively reduce foodwaste (refilling the breakfast buffet in a timely manner rather than offering excessive amounts to begin with).Facilities such as room and spa make a great impression.

The internet connection could have been better.

Very Beautiful view. Fantastic. Very clean and cozy room. and Mountain view is breathtaking.Strongly recommend.And also very close to hiking point. One of the best trip I had. I want go again.

Very unusual waste policy. Booking an appartement, but not allowed to throw away garbage. Unless you want a €50 fine ...

Spacious and comfortable room in a beautiful and quiet location. Hotel was nice and a great value for money (keep it like this).

I would love a more comfortable pillow and a more rich breakfast (it was very basic).

Very comfy apartment with kitchen.

This is not the apartment’s fault, but we approached Damuls from the west and google maps was totally wrong in their estimation of the time to arrive. It is a narrow, windy road and took us more than twice as long as google maps predicted. Part of the road is one lane with occasional pull offs in the event you meet another car.

Breakfast was good, location was good.

I came with my two children for one night with the intention to go for a nice walk and then use the advertised wellness area. When we arrived there was nobody to check us in. I called a number and was given a code for a box to open and retrieve the key card. I enquired about the wellness area but was not told anything about it. The lady said she might be able to fire up the sauna later. There were no signs in the hotel and we never saw a staff member who could explain where and how. A big disappointment and for just the room with continental breakfast without any spa, steam bath, sauna as advertised, EUR 150 incl. all the genius discounts was far too much. Wifi was super slow, no fridge or coffee and tea making facilities in the room. No possibility to have dinner or a drink at the hotel, everything was closed. No welcome info, what to do, where to eat, and nobody there to ask, not even any check-out procedure or person we could talk to. Left the key card on some desk and went.
