About
Located directly at the Damüls Ski Slope, the 3-star superior Hotel Walisgaden superior offers rooms that have a balcony with mountain views and lots of wood furnishings. A spa area with different saunas, a steam bath and relaxation room can be enjoyed at the hotel too. Hotel Walisgaden superior’s restaurant serves traditional Austrian cuisine and has fondue evenings. Damüls village center is just 0.6 mi away. Shops, restaurants, bars and cafes can be visited there. The region is popular for several sports activities, including skiing, snow shoe hiking, and sledding. In summer mountain biking, hiking and trips to Waldsee Lake, 3.1 mi away, are also popular activities. Guests can use an underground parking garage at a surcharge. For accessing the garage guests need a key card, which cab be picked up at the hotel's reception while checking in. As the parking garage is right at the hotel, snow chains are required. From 01 May to 31 October, the Bregenzerwald Card is included with a minimum stay of 3 nights. With this card, guests can use all public busses, swimming pools and cable cars for free. For the rooms in the annex building (Chiara house and village view) the wellness area is not included and can be added for a surcharge.

Pros +
- The hotel was beautiful. Facilities were a major plus. Food was fantastic and the staff were very friendly. The views from the hotel were exceptional as well.
- Absolutely perfect stay! Stunning mountain views, clean apartment, and warm, welcoming staff. The spa was the perfect end to a day of hiking. Can’t wait to return — 10/10!”
- Overall, I really enjoyed the facility — everything was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, and the experience was great. The only small things I’d mention are that the spa didn’t open until 3:30 PM, which felt a bit late if you wanted to use it earlier in the day. Also, it would’ve been really helpful to have a fridge and a kettle in the room — those are quite important for convenience. Lastly, there was just one restaurant, and while the food was good, I would’ve appreciated a few more healthy options, like a wider variety of salads. Other than that, it was perfect!
Cons -
- It was beautiful surroundings, but also not much nearby in terms of restaurants or things to do. Mostly just walking / hiking, and a little of uphill.
- WiFi little spotty in the room
- hard beds and poor quality pillowsdinner was quite good but not the quality for the price of the hotel stay
