The friendliest staff, amazing breakfast, nice rooms and decor, bonus the sauna!

Charming hotel in a wonderful location for day hikes in the Bregenserwald. The view from our room with balcony was lovely and provided a relaxing place to rest after touring and hiking. Both dinners and breakfasts were excellent with attentive service.

Very nice staff and facilitie. We had a nice room with great view of the mountains. The sauna was realy nice and the breakfast was good.

The breakfast was great and the location was idyllic. Loved the easy hike to the nearby waterfall.

Room for improvement: electric kettle in the room (or available to take to the room). Also, hypoallergenic pillows would be nice.

Nice sauna, very good breakfast, nice welcome, closed garage for bikes, room ok. Meal in restaurant was wonderful, we advise to take a steak on a hot stone, really exceptional…

Hotel is between very busy road and local road, so traffic at both sides.

Could have been friendlier

Our stay was very good from the start with a warm welcome explanation of facilities and room spacious and very comfortable. Food was excellent with inclusive breakfast. We will visit again as hotel was at the start of a very pretty route through Austria..from Bregenz. Free private parking is always a big bonus for us.

Flexible, super-friendly staff, good size room, wonderful breakfast, nice restaurant.

If your room is on the street side you'll hear the traffic when the window is open

A lot of traffic during the evening but they moved us to the other side of the hotel where it was much better

Convenient location in the Bregenzerwald - beautiful hiking area, just near the Bregenzerwald Käsestrasse (cheese street), yet only twenty minutes from Bregenz and Lake Constance. Well appointed rooms with balconies, immaculately clean. Excellent buffet breakfast. Sauna facilities. Onsite parking.

Reception desk was not staffed in the mornings, only after 15:30 in the afternoons.

The bus stop to/from Bregenz is right across the street from/next to the hotel entrance. It was very nice we did not have to take the car to Bregenz. It was a quiet place with large rooms, good breakfast, and sauna/wellness facilites.

The operating hours of the wellness/sauna facilites was not clearly marked/explained to us. Also, coming from Eastern Europe, it would have been nice to know if the sauna/wellness are was textile free or not. But in the end we had a busy schedule, and would have been unable to use it anyway.

Breakfast was fantastic

The place was clean, but we found used towels of the previous guests in the bathroom behind the door. Our room was on the street side and you could not sleep with the windows open because it was too loud. With windows closed was ok though. The tends supposed to keep the room dark were orange, yellow and white, so as soon as the sun went up the room was very lighty and we couldn't sleep anymore. The reception was almost always empty, we wanted to ask for a guest card and other things and there was no possibility. In the room there were no bottles of water nor other drinks and the bar/ restaurant is only open in the evening so we came back in the afternoon after a walk and we could drink only the tap water of the bathroom.

The lady at the receptiion is wonderful and friendly and she really makes you feel welcome. The breakfaat is varied, you have a restaurant with great food if you get hungry from 5 pm. We rented bikes for 3 days and kept them in the hotel garage. Lots of free parking space. Everything is well organized and runs really smoothly. There are trails for hiking and cycling all around the hotel, just look for the little sign posts and they'll tell you where you are going and how far it is. Oh, and you get the summer card. Buses are free, outdoor swimming pools, cable cars....

We got a main road oriented room so it was a bit noisy until the traffic settles down and then early morning again.

The breakfast is rich, the room is clean, and the parking lot is large.

Location was great, had a room with balcony, food in restaurant was delicious. Very friendly and helpful people. Would stay again. Free parking.

fantastic hotel with an amazing wellness centre, We ate both nights on the hotel veranda over looking the beautiful Austrian mountains lovely food at a reasonable price.

The hotel is very good maintain, clean and comfortable. The personal were willing to help and friendly. The food was tasty with quality ingredients. Sauna area better than other 4 star hotels visited in the region. I loved the traditional look of hotel, it is giving you the feeling of holiday. For sure we will come back here.

You can hear the traffic noise from the room but during night the traffic is reduced so no big issue for us.

The room was very comfortable, and the breakfast was wonderful. The staff spoke good English and was very helpful helping us plan our activities.

Lovely hotel and the lady on the reception was very friendly.

The older male waiter with glasses was very very rude shocking service with cold late food left with no drinks. Wouldnt serve us as we was English. Any none local travelers please avoid. We are not the 1st to say this. Same as good be a great hotel if he wasn't working there.

Nice and helpful staff, clean and light rooms, plenty options for breakfast. Great location for hikes. Possibility to charge your plug-in, electric car.
