Pros +
- The staff responsiveness (housekeeping) was fantastic.
- Our appartment was spacious for family of 4 persons. It was really well equipped, heated wooden floors, comfortable beds. We made breakfast and dinner in the appartment, so we found all cutlery and cooking tools we need, including dishwashing machine. We enjoyed sauna area for adults and our kids enjoyed with swimming pool although swimming pool is not big.
- Setting in the mountains, modern, comfortable and clean. Allows dogs and very dog friendly.
Cons -
- We checked in at 5:30 PM, despite the official check-in time being earlier, and were given a 2-bedroom apartment instead of the 3-bedroom we had booked. The apartment felt smaller than depicted in the pictures, falling short of perceived value. Parking, although open-air, was unexpectedly chargeable, and the only on-site restaurant required "advanced" bookings. Overall, the resort felt oversold, with little attention to customer experience.
- Washing machine and clothes dryer would be big advantage. We paid 40€ for parking for 5 nights, however in our opinion it shouldn’t be taxed in such place.
- Staff seemed overwhelmed with holiday crowd at times.

Friendly staff, great location, clean apartments, nice wellness. Dog friendly place.
The environment here is wonderful. The view of the mountains, the appearance of houses for accommodation and individual rooms.
1. I knew that there is a paid parking for €8, but in the summer I don't really understand what it is for, except for the cat that left paws all over the car. If it was at least included in the accommodation, so that it wouldn't be so obvious. Does anyone go to such a place by bus?2. Breakfast for €25 per person. OK, space to show your qualities - not filled. A completely ordinary breakfast (yes, I have experience from other accommodations where there is a much bigger offer for half the price).3. I met the cleaning service daily in our part of the accommodation. After 3 days I wondered when they would probably come and posted an "OK, Thx" sign on the doorknob, nothing. The next day also nothing, so I went to the reception, where I was told that our suite is not subject to cleaning, so I took towels, toilet paper, dishwasher capsules from the reception. I appreciate the fact that such an allowance was not charged to me.4. The wellness and pool is beautiful again. We didn't swim outside because we were with a small child, but we enjoyed the indoor pool with other children. I think it probably put off the adults but they had an outdoor swimming pool where there is an age restriction.Unfortunately, I wanted to relax a bit in the sauna in the evening, but it was only 70° at 8:00 p.m. The fact that the wellness center is open until 21:00 does not mean that it is in operation.
Very nice and freshly renovated hotel, with amazing view and modern SPA. The panorama is amazing from every side, pool and balcony. BUT. Read the negative part.
Impossible to get some relax: kids screaming and running the whole time, diving in the internal warmed pool and in the whirpool, running through the saunas in the adult area throwing ice and slamming doors. Parents yelling loudly in the relax naked zone, entering with clothes and shoes, while their kids destroy any hope for relax. No one from the staff ensuring rules for quiete and hygene are respected.Rooms are nice but cleaning is random: sometimes towels are changed, sometimes the sink is cleaned. The room door cannot be locked from indoor: staff entering without even knocking while we were in intimate situations.Food: do NOT book the included dinner; overpriced for quality and quantity. Better to eat somewhere else.
Lovely new facilities, renovations, and a great location.
Excessive Fees - The additional charges are quite off putting. An 8 euro daily parking fee just the a general lot and a daily 30 euro pet fee, supposedly for cleaning, seem excessive—especially the pet fee, which is the highest I've encountered in all my travels. They even charge for refilling coffee/tea after the first night's stay. On top of that, there are multiple tip jars throughout the breakfast area and reception, which comes off as tacky and honestly a bit greedy, considering the prices already being charged.Inconvenient Timings - The check-in time is 4 pm, and check-out is at 10 am, which feels quite restrictive. Breakfast also ends at 10 am, making it hard to have a relaxing morning.Room Conditions - The rooms are on the smaller side and lack air conditioning, which can be uncomfortable.Kids in the Spa Area - There should be stricter age restrictions for children in the wellness area. I've seen comments from others about this, and I agree—having kids use the jacuzzi for snorkeling isn’t a good for anyone.Poor Value for Money - Overall, the price-to-value ratio is disappointing. We avoided the restaurant based on the reviews, but we did try the Tirol hut for snacks, which was overpriced for what it offered. On a positive note, I highly recommend Scholastika for food on the lake.
I liked the rooms and the reception staff. They were helpful and made our stay comfortable in those aspects.
The restaurant staff provided a very poor experience. They didn’t serve us or help us find a seat for breakfast over the course of three days. When I asked one staff member for a coffee cup for the machine, he dismissively said it was in the kitchen and shrugged as if to say, “What do you want me to do?”On another occasion, after a rainy night, the chairs were wet. The staff assisted European couples while ignoring us because we are Middle Eastern Arabs. Overall, the restaurant experience was extremely bad from top to bottom.
Clean, specious, well organized
The staff were very friendly and helpfull. The facilities were great. Food was good.
They could consider giving elderly people a lower floor than the second floor with no elevator.
The decor, the staff and the half board option.
There is a charge for tap water at the restaurant.
Great place to stay. We have been to Achensee many times and it is the perfect idyllic Alpine town. The Vaya resort is located right on the hiking routes and everything is modern and comfortable. We travelled with two young kids and two dogs, and the combination of having our own little house yet linked to a hotel was perfect.
Clean and comfortable , close to ski lifts.Room facilities more than you expect
The staff at the reception, was not very experienced
The room was beautiful, big and comfortable. Coffee and tea available in the room and we loved the bed, shower and bath
The reception was hidden in a room (temporarily?), it didn’t feel very professional. Receptionist acted a bit ignorant and uncomfortable in speaking English. In our opinion the breakfast was scarce and if you come after 10am, they might already be cleaning it up, even though breakfast is served up to 10:30am. Dinner was ok, but wouldn’t go back for the food here.
The hotel is in a quiet location, near a lake.
The hotel closed its spa area for renovation (until summer 2024) and did not inform me, even though I had booked the hotel in advance for the New Year holidays. I wanted to relax in the spa area, walk around, and breathe fresh air. In the end, they charged me and only informed me about the spa area closure upon check-in. It was impossible to cancel the reservation. That's why me and my friends had to go to another hotel for the spa area and pay an extra price for services. My vacation was completely ruined. The reception staff were completely irresponsible. They didn’t know what services the hotel offered. They initially said there was no laundry service, but after I wrote on booking.com, they came and said they could do laundry after all. There was a broken shower and no light in the shower in my room. The design concept of the room (wood) looks good only in photos, but in reality, all wooden surfaces have huge splinters that pierce your hands, causing a lot of pain. This is completely unacceptable and can be very dangerous, especially for children.
The rooms were clean, modern and comfortable. Staff was lovely and accommodating. Great breakfast with lots of options.
Nice location and dog friendly hotel.
Bathroom is outdated
Disappointing
Room was completely different than what is shown in Booking pics. When we approached reception about it, the only feedback they gave us is: "it is similar", and did not agree to move us to another room, claiming there's no other room available.Room overall condition was poor, cracks in the wooden beams, taps with rust , the toilet and shower are located in the room entrance, while sleeping rooms are on the top floor. size of the shower is very small...
Beautiful place, clean, comfortable beds, kind staff. Kitchen well equipped.
cleaning only every 3 days, no food options after 9pm so we arrived late at night very hungry with 3 children. I wish there was a vendor machine or a snack option.
The room was spacious, modern, quiet and clean. The staff is amazing, we were treated so nicely. The breakfast is good and dinner is excellent with traditional tyrolian dishes. We really loved the hotel
