    Pros +

    • The hotel has a name, the breakfast is good and I liked the location. The Dutch man working there was nice!
    • We stayed only one night but it was all good. Close to Kaprun ski resort and Tauern spa.
    • The hotel has several parking spaces. The rooms are nicely decorated and the staff is friendly. Breakfast is quite varied ... The area itself is not particularly busy in the winter months, but it is quieter, which suits some of us.

    Cons -

    • The beds are really worn out, and internet in the rooms is non existent. It was a bit better downstairs, but only available during open hours, besides that no option. Also didn’t really feel welcome as a solo traveller, got the feeling they rather have families and fill the hotel with these.
    • Room for improvement on breakfast and pillows, but overall it was good. It would also be great if all sheets were white.
    • Breakfast starts at 7.45, and they open about a minute earlier. This is a rather inconvenient time if you want to be at one of the bigger ski resorts (Kitzbühel, Zell am See, Saalbach, Wildkogel) when they open, as it's still about half an hour's drive away.

    Location and Grossglockner pass

    1. We got the room that we have reserved …. BUT from the pictures ou booking and the description from the hotel you could not see that it was in the atic with a sigle window at stomach level ! If you want to see the beautiful landscape you … need to get on your knees !2. I have asked for another room and after negotiations we got one with a nice view but it was over the kitchen and when we opened the balcony door all the smell from the kitchen got into the room. Also there was a lot of mold in the room after a bathroom flooding that was still visible .3. Breakfast was at best average when comparing to Austrian standards. 4. The Hotel is still listing on Booking.com a Quadruple room and when I asked the owner where the quadruple room is that i have booked she replied: “ what do you mean, we don’t have such a thing !” :))

Great location for an early start at the grossglockner alpine road. Included in the price was a summer pass that you can use for an activity per day in many places ( swimming, lift passes and many more). The hotel has a restaurant and we had good food there.

The room is warm in the summer but you can open the balcony door to cool the room down.

Right at the bottom of Grossglockner pass, great location.Very clean, highly recommend. Food was good and the price was fair, including the pass for the Mountain.

Very friendly staff in the hotel. I arrived quite late and the owner did not have any problem with that. Moreover, 1 day Grossglockner ticket was included. Great price / value. Coming back again.

Clean hotel at a superb location with helpful staff at the entrance to the famous high alpine road and in walking distance to a beautiful waterfall. Free entrance to the Grossglockner High Alpine Road. I had to leave very early, before breakfast so I got proactively offered a meal pack that I could take with me. Excellent value for the money!!

The WIFI signal was very weak in my room so I was forced to work on the couch located opposite of the reception.

The price of the accommodation does not meet the quality and expectations.

The furniture is old. The chairs are unstable. When the wife sat down, the chair broke and the wife was injured. The bed is old, creaky. Sound insulation of the windows is poor. You can hear all the cars passing by.

Excellent hotel, large rooms, clean, good location. Entrance ticket to the Grossglockner road is included in the price along with other attractions. H.ighly recommended!

Located right at start of grossglockner climb. Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfasts were tasty

Perhaps it’s an American thing, but it’d be nice to have a simple coffee maker in room

Location, food, rude but friendly head waiter.

Lack of pillows. If you want a pepperoni pizza ask for salami one!

Fantastic Location Right by the Gateway to Grossglockner.

Prepare your taste buds for a rollercoaster of mediocrity at this hotel's dinner extravaganza. The culinary escapade left us pondering whether 'Awefull' is a new, avant-garde spelling that somehow translates to 'unforgettable.' The staff orchestrating this gourmet tragedy seemed to have perfected the art of making guests feel like they stumbled into a parallel universe where good food and warm hospitality are mere myths.Let's address the elephant in the room—or should I say, the dated and strangely scented room? The accommodations transported us to a bygone era, where furniture trends and aroma choices apparently defied logic. Ah, the scent of nostalgia... or was it just the scent?Breakfast, the supposed champion of morning repasts, delivered a knockout punch to our eggpectations (pun intended). Alas, no scrambled eggs graced our plates. Perhaps they were on vacation, seeking refuge in a more egg-friendly establishment. In conclusion, our stay can be summarized as an intriguing experiment in adjusting our standards to match the hotel's unique approach to hospitality. If 'forgettable' is what you seek on your travels, look no further. For those with a passion for time travel, both in furnishings and olfactory sensations, this might be your Shangri-La.Bon appétit, intrepid travelers!"

Traditional building. Staff extremely friendly and helpful.

I couldn’t see in the bathroom mirror

the room was ok staff was ok location near the glosglocner road - very helpful

very overpriced because of the location i guessoverall experience was ok but not more than that in the check-in you have to search the stafflocation on the road itself - no places to go

Everything was perfect, delicious homemade food, kind stuff, clean rooms. The big advantage is also Nationalpark Sommercard included in room price, with this card you can go to Grossglockner high Apline road.
