    Pros +

    • Located in the middle of the mountains, this hotel is a nice surprise to escape the city life and enjoy the nature. Amazing breakfast in the morning and professional staff
    • We enjoyed the location as it was quiet and away from a town. The bed was comfy and we had a good night’s sleep. The 4 course dinner was tasty, good value and more than enough. Breakfast included and again was a good buffet with lots of options. Our Superior room was simple but spacious and comfortable. The building and surrounds are very well maintained and presented.
    • The staff were lovely, friendly, helpful. Location is fantastic, pretty mountains and forest, garden chess was great (apart from I lost the game to my husband). Good location to visit the monastery

    Cons -

    • Overall look is... meh. I guess it needs more care for the outside part
    • We knew there was no lift so packed a very small overnight bag instead of moving our large suitcases.
    • all good

    Good

Above our room (#3) must have been a Turnsal, because we heard running or jumping until ~22:00

    Very good

There is an absence of air conditioning in rooms under the roof; after a hot day, the room is strongly heated with no possibility of lowering the temperature during sleep.

Beautiful hotel and grounds. Charming place.

Hotel had no air conditioners or even a fan. As a result, the room was WAY TOO HOT. Had a lousy night sleep due to the heat. I noticed the some of the staff offices had AC.

    Beautiful views and location

    Bed did not have sheets

Super friendly staff, beautiful location. Amazing Sauna.

The choice of colour for the carpets is not optimal.

    10KlaudiaPosted on: 8-10-2023

Very pleasant surroundings, super nice receptionist, tasty breakfast, spacious sauna.

    10KirstenPosted on: 7-26-2023

Just everything. Big room and bathroom. Great garden outside with plenty of seating areas, swings, fireplace, etc. And a nice round trip walking way through the forest.

Unfortunately there was no dinner option, but they had put out cake & coffee and small snacks for free!

    9GabriellaPosted on: 7-15-2023

The building looked pretty, they kept its charm. The staff was helpful and kind.

Room was a little bit outdated compare to the common spaces like lobby and restaurant.

The castle looks amazing from the outside. The location is perfect for those who are looking for a remote, romantic weekend getaway in Alpine valley and wish to wake up with the view of mountain peaks. Taking a morning fall walk on the surrounding grounds and in the forest was thrilling. The view from the window was spectacular.

The grandeur is not present on the inside as much as it is captivating on the outside. The lobby, rustic wooden staircase, and fireplace room were charming, however, my room, small and functional, was unmatched by the castle theme. The divide between the mattresses, which together made a queen size bed, was awkward.

Very nice personnel. Very good food.

    Too soft matrace in bed.

Castle like in fairytale surrounded by mountains and forests. Renovated but kept autentic enviroment and facilities. A lot of not traditional service - late snacks in lounge, separate leisure and games room, fantastic sauna and sauna lounge upon request. For nature lovers - everything in few steps

It's not hotel fault, but the road to it - real disaster for the car, very unusual thing in Austria. But still worth to go. Very poor mobile connection because of location - hotel is surrounded by high mountains, but WiFi is really great, so can easily connect via internet connections

hidden gem family-like in the middle of rural Austria! the food was great and the staff went above and beyond!

    10EstherPosted on: 8-11-2022

Beautiful property surrounded by nature! Very nice private sauna. We could bring our 18 year old cat with us.

Quality of coffee was not enough for native Viennese people.

    9TomasPosted on: 8-10-2022

very nice surroundings, very nice sauna, helpful staff

no dinner after 17:00 ( sunday ), only option was travel by car to nearby areas

    10LucasPosted on: 2-28-2022

Very friendly and mindful staff, clean and nicely renovated rooms. Dinner is good and breakfast is even better. The sauna in the hotel is a very good option to get warm after e.g. a snow shoe hiking day.

Maybe the beds are a little bit short

The castel is situated in the middle of the nature, it is beautiful! The stuff is very nice, ready to help you with everything. The room was very clean , big, with a nice view. Large bathroom, very clean and modern. Very good breakfast. The dinner was excellent in the first evening, but not in the second, it looked like an improvisation.

It could be nice to have a kettle in the room. The smells from the kitchen arrived on the second floor and in room 206.

    9MonikaPosted on: 8-19-2021

Very friendly staff, room had a great view, nice modern bathroom, it was perfectly quiet at night and we slept very well. The castle is stunning and surrounded by gorgeous nature. Hiking trails all around the place. Sauna was also very nice. Would love to come back.
