    • The ruins in the village do take you by surprise, but don't worry the view from our room was fabulous! Our afternoon meal was also fabulous - some of the best food our whole holiday. Breakfast is a bit limited compared.
    • Its a very unique little place, really worth a detour and a night stop over.Very very peaceful and beautiful. We did not have the room overlooking the lake with balcony, if I would go again I would definitely choose that.Special mention for Othman who was very helpful and friendly, he manned everything, check in, bar and restaurant. And was available for any requests we had.We had a lovely one day stay there.Enjoyed the evening dinner, such good value for the money of you choose the set menu.
    • Only 5km from a main road north, this is a lovely quiet place to stop if driving back from the south of Spain or the Algarve. Simple food but tasty. Small, clean rooms. Quiet. Beautiful location at the side of an enormous reservoir, looking at snow capped mountains in April. Excellent value for money.

    Cons -

    • Parking was very gravely and our bike did get stuck.
    • All was ok
    • Shower was over the bath and was rather slippery I'm afraid. No lift which is a disadvantage for us.

I loved it, my partner thought it was a bit too remote. It was very quiet at night. The owners are lovely ? food was excellent!

Lovely location. The room was fairly basic but perfectly adequate and clean. There's a charming cosy lounge with sofas and a wood burning stove (not lit when we were there). Big dining room and dinner and breakfast were both fine.

Shower was over the bath and was rather slippery I'm afraid. No lift which is a disadvantage for us.

Continental breakfast was more than expected, dining room was clean, bright and warm.

Oil on a squeaky bedroom door ?

Location is very rural and remote. Ruins of old buildings all around. Very little happening. Lakeview is nice looking over the lake to snowcapped mountains. Hotel restaurant is the only place to eat. Basic but good. Carparking for about 8 cars is around the back.

Nothing really, could have done with tea and coffee facilities in the room. But that is not untypical of smaller Spanish hotels.

Free parking. Home cooked food. Peaceful location. Interesting little village.

Although a little out of the way, it’s worth seeking out this place, your efforts will be rewarded. We loved the ambience, the mix of furniture, the lake side view, the fantastic staff and tasty evening meal, as well as the hospitality extended to us!

Unfortunately, when we stayed a cooked breakfast was unavailable though there was enough breakfast fare for a fill up before onward travel.

Location was a bit of pleasant surprise.

It is quite hard to find the hotel for the first time as there are no signposts around the village pointing to the location.

    9RichardPosted on: 10-8-2024

Wonderful views. Very quiet and unpretentious. Very close to the motorway, safe parking.

    9StefanPosted on: 10-2-2024

Small hotel private owned good value set evening meal 12 euros all in wine coffee included Historic setting in a ruined village. Very quiet surroundings

If you are a bit older no lift and some rooms shower in the bath. Difficult to enter and no hand rails no slip mat. Can feel quite dangerous for older people. Some rooms have walk in showers

Small rural hotel in almost derelict town. The town has a nice history and is worth a visit. The hotel has a very nice lounge/library with chess boards and sofas. The rooms are nice and clean. Its a kind of different place, original and pretty.

Pillows were a little bit low and thin, and we didn't find different ones in the closet. Not that bad, but that is a nice plus.We had a very windy night, and hissing of wind was a little annoying.

    7MartinPosted on: 9-25-2024

I chose this hotel due to it's closeness to Santa Teresa reservoir. I wanted to fish there as I have done so in the past. So, it was perfect for that. We had a decent evening meal (nowhere else nearby). Breakfast was basic but acceptable.

Minor issues - the floor squeaked terribly and both bathroom and main door in made plenty of noise on opening and shutting. And, sorry to say the walls are unusually thin for a Spanish property, and the man in room next door snored throughout the night, and was up at five thirty in the morning, so it meant that my wife and I were pretty exhausted in the morning.

Tle place and the location was amazing with the nice, clean and great equipped rooms and a super restaurant

For non locals it was little chalenging to find the hotel.

Perfect relaxing setting.Food excellent as usual, this was our 4th stay and were not disappointed. Have sent several friends and they all love it as well. A real hidden gem!

    Nothing.....apart from leaving!

Brilliant place, great food , comfortable beds and a superb location.

Charming location next to a lake. The hotel staff were friendly and our room was comfortable and clean. We only stoped by for one night on our way through and it was well worth the stop. On top of the stunning location we had a wholesome three course meal, which we never do in hotels, but it was delicious and was at a set price of 12 euros each with wine included.

What a gem of a hotel, don't drive to fast, you will miss it, and that would be a shame. The lady running the place was so nice and welcoming, we had dinner 3 courses 12 euros!!! Lovely position by the lake, thanks for a lovely stay
