Hotel La Rad

We didn't eat there but we use this Hotel on our way down to Portugal. It is just off the motorway and is right next to a petrol station which is handy for filling up. Its about 5-6 hours to the algarve from there. There is a garden for ther dofg and also a partially built estate oposite where you can walk them .

Once you overcome the fact that the hotel is behind a truck stop, you are pleasantly surprised by the friendly welcome and the traditional surroundings. The evening meal was delicious and their house salad would feed four easily for a reasonable price. Our room was at the rear of the hotel, very quiet and offered us an exceptionally cosy comfortable night’s sleep on amazing supportive pillows ready to start our next leg of the journey. There is also plenty of open space to walk your pet if you have one.

Noisy Poor sound proofing between room and corridors. noisy guests were disturbing and I had to twice ask them to be quiet

We stayed with our dog which was not a problem. ( There are no ground floor rooms though but that was not an issue) The location next to the motorway was perfect for us and there was plenty of room to let the dog off the lead. There is a petrol station next to the Hotel as well. We did not eat in the restaurant but had a very nice cup of coffee in there in the morning. Will definitely be using this hotel again

As far as we are concerned everything was fine for us.

Don't bother staying here

Very noisy, dog left barking in a bedroom while the owners sat down in the bar enjoying themselves. It was reported to reception to no avail. Televisions on all night at high volume so sleep was spasmodic and not good enough when we had a long car drive next day.I would not recommend staying at this hotel and have cancelled my return reservation.

The location right near the motorway also a fuel stop with cheap diesel Ideal stop over for Portugal

Like all Spanish hotels that have baths they are too small Also when the floor is wet very tricky for getting out the shower-/ bath

Confusion over booking in 1 or 2 people, then over price to pay.It's definitely more a Truck Stop. Alot of HGVs and drivers, using the car park and bar / restaurant Smells of 'smoke' on the corridors Noise from the bar downstairs

Right on the motorway and petrol friendly with good safe area to walk around in..

The hotel was a great location & very clean,

Unfortunately we were kept awake until the early hours from noise from the bar, music & people in corridors shouting & banging doors.

Very clean, nice room, excellent bed, lovely linen, good shower. Very handy for the motorway. Excellent atmosphere. Very obliging staff

The bar was going through a refurbishment so there was a limited menu. However we were served exactly what we asked for and it was delicious- a bottle of red wine and a portion of cheese. Both very tasty. At breakfast we had coffee and croissants- also very good

Book by myself first time using this hotel at the price of 45 EUR booking the second time though booking.com it was 88 euros

the location for our route ,able to meet up with friends.plenty of outdoor space to exercise dogs

staff were a little off when asked a question, No breakfast included and a larger than average extra charge for dogs,for 1 night.

Proximity to the motorway

A huge amount of flies in the room (windows were closed when we arrived) which puts you off using their restaurant, no noise insulation, not particularly friendly staff, slippery foors.

Easy parking, friendly staff.

Needs a makeover, only bar food available. It was in a remote location.

Staff very helpful and friendly. Ana was ready to check us in and looked after us during our stay. Food is really good from the lunchtime tapas and evening meal. Room was clean and comfortable. A fantastic place to stop on route down south with our two dogs.

Location to the highway to Portugal, great large refurbished room, dog friendly. Staff were great, the evening meal was perfect. Much better than the two star rating it has.

It is a convenient stop off on route to the ferry at Santander from Portugal

It is fairly basic but it is VFM

The rooms were nice and it was convenient that there was a restaurant there.

Not the friendliest place, it had a sort of industrial atmosphere.
