- This was our favorite stay while we were in Iceland. When we booked we didn't have many reviews to go off of. When we got there it exceeded our expectations. The staff was accommodating, our room didn't have knives to cut with and our host provided them right away. We had no trouble using anything, everything was clean. We even saw the northern lights from right where we parked the car. I will say the best part was the heated floors in the bathroom! Again I could not say enough amazing things about this place.
- We were upgraded to one of the brand new apartments and it was fantastic. The apartment had a spacious kitchen, bathroom and bedroom. Everything was new and clean and the room was warm. The hostess was lovely and prepared a delicious dinner out of local products from the farm just for us. The farm is located in a beautiful area by the Lagarfljt lake with lots of trees and amazing nature all around. Bigger town Egilsstadir is only 15min away by car. Nelson the cat was always checking on us:) wish we couldve stayed longer!
Cons -
- It was just the minimal counter space, while cooking we had trouble having enough room to do everything we wanted at the same time but it wasn't the biggest deal as we just boiled water in the kettle after we were done using the electric stove-top.
- Low season and it was not easy to communicate with host for checking and to organize breakfast. If not not to provide good service and on time communication, they should close during life season
