Very helpful staff who arranged access long after reception closed when my flight into Santander was delayed by several hours. . Room was great.

Having to leave early next morning, so I only saw the hotel in the dark and couldn't take advantage of the restaurant.

Ok breakfast. Easy parking.

Uncomfortable pillow and mattress. No dinner option during our stay.

Breakfast was the star of the this property, a bit pricey but had everything you can think of in a buffet style breakfast. Rooms were good and spacious and building was very intriguing since it was an old palace.

It was a bit far from the touristy areas, around 20 min drive.

A beautiful, clean and modern hotel.

The converted building was absolutely stunning. The rooms were very comfortable. The beds were also very comfortable.

The breakfast buffet was a total disappointment! The orange juice wasn’t fresh. The coffee was cold and it was very expensive twice what it should’ve been! Take a big pass on the breakfast buffet!

Palacio de Arce is extremely nice hotel. Rooms are spacious, clean, comfortable and recently updated. Absolutely our favorite hotel on our trip.

Only improvement needed is stronger WiFi signal in the rooms.

Palacio de Arce is the ideal hotel to spend the night before taking the car ferry from Santander. 15 minutes drive from the Brittany Ferry Terminal at Santander.Comfortable rooms. Good food. Great staff.

I was walking the Camino del Norte and initially thought that it would be too far from route, but was close to the start of my next stage and worked perfectly. The hotel itself is stunning and the restaurant was fabulous. Staff, from reception to the restaurant were all very nice, professional and welcoming.

Beautiful building, location ideal for ferry port, picturesque setting. Staff were friendly , helpful and spoke English. Breakfast was good.

In the bathroom there was a smell of sewage but it did clear. Pillows were very hard

THe room could benefit from coffee facilities, kettle or machine etc.

Very friendly staff and a very nice hotel in a rural setting but very close to my final destination. Secure and safe parking for a fully loaded vehicle. Very fine restaurant on site.

What a wonderful find. The hotel is perfectly situated for the Santander ferry and has the added bonus of a superb restaurant. The staff were so friendly and the service in the restaurant was excellent.

Nothing to dislike

Very comfortable room, and excellent breakfast, excellent food in restaurant for evening meal. Convenient for ferry in the morning.

Bar area is limited, had to sit at a restaurant table for drinks.

A few hairpin bends to negotiate but there are ok if handled with care

Beautifully restored building with pretty outside terraces and attractive interior and responsive staff

It was all very comfortable. Unfortunately we stayed on a Monday night when their kitchen was closed. However we had drinks and snacks on the terrace.

Lovely place with free parking on site. Very convenient for Santander and the ferry.

The restaurant’s service and food were exceptional. The parking was perfect for our fully-packed car (in private courtyard)

1 A kettle for making tea in the room would have helped a lot. 2 Restraunt very good, very artistic, but meals are a bit light for hungry travellers...order extra chips and bread!
