It was quiet even though there was a massive do on...they had prewarned using any case.One night stay was fine. No breakfast or meal required. Ideal for ferry. 20 mins.

Very friendly staff. The hotel is located in a small town, i.e. the place very quiet. Nice large terrace/patio. The hotel itself looks "raw" (as if you stay in an old mansion house), but on the other hand the rooms are comfy and the service is of high quality.

Aircon was a blessing after two weeks without aircon in august. Quiet location in a valley. Thick walls so no outside noise. Friendly staff. Nice courtyard for a beer a wine. Relatively close to the airport - great convenience for our final night.

Evening meal was relatively expensive. My meal was great (rack of lamb) but my partner didn’t enjoy the meat balls she ordered - I would recommend you order it well done unless you enjoy steak tartare which is the best way to describe her dish. We didn’t have the breakfast as it seemed poor value for money.

Fridge did not work. Staff told me when i asked that they are phasing them out. Wi-fi very weak did not reach my room

Amazing architecture in a fabulous setting. Clean room with large bathroom. Hotel staff were very accommodating and friendly. When you have the chance, have dinner at the hotel. The food is very good for a reasonable price.

Location was beautiful

The beds were incredibly uncomfortable and always hard to find staff and no coffee making facilities in room restaurant was overpriced.

The hotel was picturesque .. lovely surrounding . Restaurant good and our evening dinner both nights was excellent . Very nice roomAnd bathroom .

Their hotel was empty … no reception staff to welcome us … a lone waitress gave us room keys . No staff at the bar !! Dinner was lovely all served by one hard working waitress . The hotel were preparing for a wedding the following day but the first night we stayed we were the only guests ! Not much atmosphere due to lack of guests !!

Peaceful location and wonderful restoration of this impressive hotel. All members of the staff we met were charming and very helpful. The room was comfortable and the bathroom was well equipped. This was a late unplanned stop but we would have liked to have stayed longer.

Even though it is a very nice hotel we felt the restaurant was quite expensive.

Lovely hotel in lovely location, dinner was a bit pricy and although was of good quality in nice surroundings it felt like it was lacking something, didn't have breakfast as it was very limited and they didn't have any black tea.

Nice quiet location with old world charm. Very friendly and helpful staff though overworked.

No dinner possible before 20:30 in the evening and no breakfast before 08:30 in the morning. Maybe typical Spanish hours but not helpful for visitors on the move.

Restaurant food was great, but a bit overpriced. There are no other restaurants in the village, so you won't have any choice for breakfast

Fabulous food, pleasant rural location

Rooms are a bit basic but OK.

The ambiance of the hotel, the garden and the area. The food was very good, but it was the staff that made this an absolutely great stay. They were so friendly and hospitable!

If there is one thing (and only one thing) it would be the background. When you have breakfast, lunch and dinner you hear the same loop.

Superb evening meals, wonderful dining room, very friendly staff, excellent wine list, great bedroom.

Breakfast was far less impressive than the excellent evening meals. Location - excellent views but some traffic noise disturbed the otherwise perfect tranquility.

Gorgeous building and grounds with an excellent restaurant. Extremely helpful and warm staff who went out of their way to assist us despite our lack of Spanish or Basque. They were amazingly patient with us and our blank faces.
