    Pros +

    • Friendly welcome, simple clean and modern rooms. Diner was excellent at the hotel. Highly recommend! Cycle friendly hotel.
    • The location was super, very quiet. Off the beaten track, a tiny hamlet of great character. Very picturesque. The staff were most helpful. I appreciated greatly being able to check in earlier than expected especially as there was a storm starting. There was somewhere secure to leave my bike overnight. I had a minor issue with my bike but with the hotel's help I was very largely able to deal with it, thank you. A good choice on the menu for an evening meal and a good breakfast. Nice to see a family run hotel who obviously take a pride in their work.
    • The town (of about 25 residents) and the hotel are from a different era, a nicer one. Very welcoming staff and a restaurant that is the gem of the region. It has quite a few tables and it is always full. Food is Great, prices are very fair and you can tell that people from neighboring towns come here regularly. The hotel and restaurant are family run and you can tell their commitment to service. The room was very clean and has all you need for a nice rest after driving around in the area or visiting medieval towns, like this one. The big extra was coming to the room, opening the window and having the castle right in front, magnificent view. You can hear the water of the river that runs next to the hotel and it is quite soothing. Very calm at night, lovely place to relax. Thanks!

    Cons -

    • My stay was too short.
    • Nothing that I recall at all
    • Would have liked coffee making facility in room

Exceptional location and the property had character given the price. Superb and popular restaurant which many locals attend both at lunchtime and evenings. Mosquito blinds on windows a big plusGood breakfast. Lots of local products. Great kindness shown when I accidentally went off with the room key on my bike tourGood English spoken

The hotel was based across a small river from the magnificent Chateau la Brousse. The view from our room was superb, and the meal at the hotel was one of the best we have had during our stay in France. The staff were friendly and very helpful given our poor French language skills. We would definitely stay again and highly recommend to friends & family.

The whole experience was very good. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Location was very picturesque, the restaurant was very good to eat in too food was all very fresh and tasty.Very good value for money.

The only problem I did have was the shower was in the bath, and I couldn’t lift my leg enough to get in, but I didn’t ask for a shower cubicle so it was my fault. Also Tea / coffee making facilities would have been nice.

Excellent view of castle from bedroom, room small but had everything we needed & very clean. Friendly staff & helpful. We did not take breakfast but the coffee was great.

The location and view of this hotel was truly amazing - that's the reason to go. It felt like a fairy tale and there's so much to do along the Tarn. The restaurant was pretty good (although we were disappointed that you couldn't eat outside).

The hotel is comfortable enough, but hasn't been renovated in decades. The toilet would start running sometimes at random and we could hear the plumbing from other rooms.
