Lovely location , very quiet and peaceful. Friendly hosts. Wonderful supper.
Nothing. We only stayed one night.
Lovely location in the hills near the Spanish border. Fantastic restaurant and both the evening meal and breakfast were exceptional. The staff were friendly and helpful and made a stopover into much more. Would highly recommend as a place to stay.
Nothing, it was a great place to stay.
location, food and staff great
Excellent restaurant, dinner (food/service) is of the highest quality and focused on French Basque region
Had previously stayed at hotel and been very impressed. Unfortunately this year we were left a little disappointed, especially with the restaurant.Ate on two occasions, one lunch and one dinner. Although shown on the menu about half of the ‘mains’ were not available. Thus had to make do with what was available and to our tastes. Also seemed to be a bit light on the ground for staff
Minimal supplies for tea/coffee in room
What a little hidden gem …. Stunning gardens and just minutes away from the autoroute …. The owner was exceptional …. Pleasant happy very efficient and she spoke perfect English …. nothing was too much trouble and the restaurant was second to none
Nothing I loved it
Wonderful location. Family owned and run. Very welcoming and friendly. Very quiet, large room with comfortable beds. The restaurant offers excellent food and service but is expensive and there are no other options in the village.
We have stayed here on multiple occasions. Lovely hotel in a quiet location. Excellent restaurant on site and staff as friendly and courteous as always.
Really well situated off the main routes in Spain. We travelled from Cadiz to here in a day and the hotel was a very welcome oasis come rooms, welcoming staff super restaurant and wine list that I have seldom seen except in 1/2 star restaurants. Hope when we travel again that we stay again.
Another wonderful stay at one of our favourite spots on our journey to/from Spain. Pet friendly room very clean and comfortable and the recent addition of a coffee machine and kettle in the room is great. Had a lovely dinner in the restaurant. The food and service excellent.
Nice quiet place in a beautiful setting just off the motorway.
The staff at the hotel were exemplary. Very welcoming and attentive. The room was large and comfortable and very suitable for a wheelchair user. The meals in the dining room were first class and the location excellent.
Dinner was super. Breakfast was slightly disappointing as I like to help myself from a buffet, but the hotel that day had a large group who where placed in the breakfast area. We could have everything we wanted but I love seeing the choices :(Still we had a good stay and will return
Everything is absolutely fine :))))
The breakfast was excellent and food was good and very tasty. Unfortunately, the ac is set not to cool below 23 Celsiusand the room was too warm
The warm room which made us sweat and when the room was made the bed sheets were not replaced. Allowing the AC to cool down to whatever was comfortable for each guest would have made a huge difference.
Great choice at breakfast of fresh fruit salad, yoghurt, fresh pastries, toast, hams, cheeses, cereals etc. Nice to be offered English breakfast tea along with fresh squeezed orange juice and coffeeWe had our breakfast in the dining area and were pleasantly surprised to find we were being served, so often it is self service these days. There was a speedy self serve option available in the bar area for travelers needing to get off in a hurryOur tasting meal the night before was delicious- as it was our anniversary celebration staff all wished us a happy anniversary and our dessert came with a lit candle and a Happy Anniversary from all around (somewhat embarrassing but kind) All the staff went out of their way to be helpful and friendly- service overall exceptional! Also the largest and best Kir Royale Ive had in a while !
Very comfortable and well equipped room with air con which wasn’t advertised. Food exceptional and staff very friendly.
I would have liked a fridge and coffee making facilities in the room.
It is in a quiet small town. Close to San Sebastián and St. Jean De Luz. The property has a welcoming reception, fully stocked bar and relaxing garden which over looks the valley. The rooms have soothing colors and are designed with a smooth flow. We had a balcony which provided gorgeous views of the valley and mountains. The beds and pillows are top quality, as well as the towels. They offer outdoor and indoor eating. They offer lunch, breakfast and dinner as well as lunch boxes for day trips. The staff speak English, French and Spanish. The parking is easy and they have a recharging station for electric vehicles. Our dinner was amazing, 5 star plus!
Nothing really.
Jardins de Bakea is an oasis of rest, beauty, quality and taste. You can fully come to rest here. Owners and staff are very friendly. Very spacy and quiet rooms. Dinner and breakfast are absolutely marvelous.
It’s just a detail but the decoration of the room could be a bit more personal, original or warm.
