Pros +
- This is a very pleasant, authentic and lovingly run resort. It was easy to find and reach. Parking was available directly at the hotel, which was very appreciated by our family. The food was absolutely exceptional: fresh, delicious and excellent quality. Our dinner and breakfast were a delight!
- Food was excellent in both Cargol 21 and La Cooperative .
- Attentive and unobtrusive service, clean and well maintained rooms, everything up to the standard.
Cons -
- Maybe an air conditioner would be an advantage instead of the fan; but this is rather matter of taste. We were lucky, as the summer night was not hot.
- Room was adequate but small terrace next to noisy road . Breakfast average .Remote location , nothing else in village , no shops , cafes or restaurants . ‘Bio’ pool was not to our liking .
- The parking is limited and mobility to the rooms with luggage is not convenient. The bistro food is average.

The vistas from the hotel are fabulous, particularly for wine lovers, and the use of wine-inspired finishings made for a complete winery- stay experience.
The parking is limited and mobility to the rooms with luggage is not convenient. The bistro food is average.
The staff are exceptionally friendly. The bed was wide and comfortable. The museum in this small village is very impressive and we were lucky enough to visit when there was an additional temporary exhibit about Charles Rennie Mackintosh which was packed with surprising information. I was kindly given a tour of the hotel's wine cellars at short notice and being the only person on the tour. The hotel is pleasantly quirky having been created from the old wine co-operative buildings and cellars.
For a four star hotel the bedroom was quite small. Only one restaurant was open on Mondays and Tuesdays and the menu was limited with main course dishes quite similar in flavours and the desserts nothing special. Other reviewers comment on the breakfast being exceptional but I have had similar elsewhere at lower starred establishments. There isn't sufficient parking for all hotel guests who arrive by car, so parking has to be found in the narrow village streets.
it’s was great. very nice place. the breakfast was very good, omelets and fried egg cooked individuals. the pool was like lake, is natural. rooms is clean, bed linens was perfect.
i
Restaurant excellent, room very comfortable. Some wonderful wines tasted!
Breakfasts were not able to be fully served as the chef failed to arrive so a basic only
The magnificent space just works. Compelling contextual cadences abound. The dinner in the downstairs restaurant was beautiful cooking at an incredible price. The pool is superb.
Breakfast was good but a little overpriced.
Great rural location. Very peaceful with good views. Helpful and attentive staff. Really enjoyed stay.
Wouldn't change anything.
Location beautiful . Stunning rooms and layout of hotel. Wine tasting interesting and girls were great !! Very friendly helpful reception staff . Good with our little dog .
We were a bit dissapointed the main restaurant was shut on the monday night and it would of been nicer to of had ourAnniversay dinner in the main restaurant . It was our fault though as you could see online it would be the other restaurant . We thought there was a limited choice of food in the other restaurant and not such nice surroundings . The waiter was great though .We would of also liked it to of had the terrace set out with the cushions and the lights on so there was a bit more atmosphere . It felt a bit like it was the end of the season which at the beggining of September you would of thought it wouldnt be yet .
Excellent restaurant, modern hotel built in the former winery. Nice views.
The whole accommodation and its surrounding - nice place to stay even more than one day. Good area for hiking and cycling.
Well the AC was little bit adventurous- I acknowledge of the green idea behind, however it would be great to have then instead mosquito nets ath the windows and so as an alternative.
The room and bed was lovely staff fantastic service minded Main dinner and breakfast area modern and cozy All we had to eat was superb
if anything was the inside sitting area for the restaurant Cargol21 not cozy at all, more like a conference area. Why not offer the guest sitting in the main restaurant instead and specially during low season when cold weather outside
A beautiful building in a beautiful location.
Food options were limited as only the main restaurant was open.
rooms are nice in an of season when its busy i think there will be less privacy since your room is close to the outdoor restaurant
its a nightmare if you have luggage to get to your room without elevator, there is a simpler way through the parking but staff was oblivious
The room was good, very confortable bed and amazing bedroom. Nice place to stay only for sleep.
The only restaurant open was the Cave (it is like a wine bar in the hotel). Almost no options and very very expensive.
Nice rooms with a huge terrace. Wonderful swimming pool. Excellent breakfast buffet. Outstanding lounge area. Quite.
A bit far off. Restaurant at the hotel great, but very expensive.
Superb
Breakfast was way too expensive for what was on offer.
A very nice hotel in a former winery and an excellent restaurant
Views and breakfast were excellent
Room was visible from the walkway.
