    Pros +

    • Unique building in small village. Lots of parking
    • Chateau beautiful with lovely groundsSwimming pool was superb granddaughters thoroughly enjoyed it and spent most of the time in it
    • The grounds are lovely and the pools look great, although we didn’t use it as it was a bit chilly. Breakfast nice and in the most attractive room in the building.

    Cons -

    • Would have like a fridge and a few glasses in the room. Hotel does not offer coffee or a restaurant other than for prearranged meals, there are no options in nearby town
    • No restaurant on site - local restaurants in village closed so had to drive around Montauban to find somewhere to eat
    • I think Spartan sums it up. Massive walls painted white and bare. Few ornaments and not welcoming. The entrance hall feels very empty. It’s as if the owners are moving out and have already packed. It’s not like a chateau. Nowhere to sit to admire the view. I think it’s more a conference centre than a hotel.

Gorgeous grand hotel with a perfect modern restrained refurbishment. All rooms have views to mountains and forest. Fab hotel only 10 minutes from beautiful Montauban

Fabulous chateau hotel beautifully restored with comfortable mix of modern and traditional features.

Breakfast as fine. Pool was nice. Parking a long way away but staff accommodated us.

Room was supposed to have a pool view, did not. No screens on the windows so lots of bugs. Despite website assurances no restaurant and very little in the area. Ended up getting a pizza.

    Tennis and pool

    No restaurant for dinner.

The pool area and quietness. The size of our room.

The open concept bathroom, which is private to room but not to occupants, and that you advertise it has a restaurant, which it does not.

Beautiful location, setting and clean stylish rooms. Pool and grounds were fabulous, clean and breakfast was amazing. Staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, genuinely delighted we chose this as a stop travelling from north to south of France.

No air-conditioning in rooms and very limited services (restaurant is closed for the summer which we knew about but no drinks, water etc. available after 6pm as reception appears to close). Advise bringing your own water and snacks

the owner and staff are wonderful- so welcoming and helpful

the pool and gardens are lovely, both dinner and breakfast were very generous portions of home cooked traditional food.

    the setting was very good

pity there is no restaurant. meal from traiteur was ok

I did not eat the breakfast although I did have dinner which I reserved in advance because meals are provided by an outside catering service (which itself could have done better than serving boeuf bourguignon in a round drinking-glass-style vessel which made it impossible to properly use a knife and fork unless you dumped it out on a plate). Dinner was an okay value of lettuce and duck gizzard salad (very nice), the boeuf bourguignon (nothing special), and a lime-infused whipped mascarpone with red berry coulis (nice) for €25. The waitress recommended local wine Roumegnac which did not disappoint. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was nothing short of stunning--large glass walk-in shower with a very nice showerhead, lovely huge beige stone tiles, a charming freestanding bowl sink. Featured a hair dryer and towels, of course, but oddly there was no towel bar next to sink for a hand towel. Minor issue to be sure. A bar of hand soap and an all-purpose gel in the shower are the sole toiletries provided. (And I didn't realize the gel dispenser wasn't working until I was already in the shower; it took some doing, but eventually I managed to fix it.)I was really pleased that they let me bring my little dog and we were just one flight up which meant it was easy to duck out to walk her a few times.Overall, staff were very friendly and helpful, eager to please, and tried to speak as much English as they could manage for me, which I very much appreciated.

The room would benefit from increased electrical outlets. An outlet expander/extension at bedside would be particularly helpful. The only outlet next to the bed was occupied by the needed bedside light, whereas I wanted to leave my mobile phone charging there overnight and to use as an alarm.Note that this is not a disability-friendly property, given it's a chateau. Lots of stairs and a bit of a hike from the parking, which is gravel so not the easiest to navigate a rolling suitcase.

Superb location, wonderful swimming pool and gardens. our room was exceptionally large and comfortable, the breakfast was superb and it was nice to be served on the terrace. The staff were exceptionally friendlyand attentive

The best thing considering it was so hot was the air conditioning in the room.

No view from the room but you can't have it all.

    8PamelaPosted on: 6-7-2022

We loved the location - it was very peaceful and relaxing with plenty of space around the property. We had a room in the annexe with air conditioning which was a bonus as the weather was exceptionally hot for May.The staff were incredibly helpful offering dinner and breakfast which was good value. The pool was great and a perfect temperature.

lovely to stay in somewhere different. lovely old property

we were given a beautiful bedroom but being old fashioned, we did not like the open bathroom in the bedroom. no evening meal available but given recommendations.

The hotel is in a rural area and is in a beautiful setting. The room was large and nicely furnished but lacked any wardrobe / cupboard space to hang any clothesThe staff were pleasant and helpful.

we had asked for a ground floor room but when we arrived the room had not been made ready and therefore had to take a room on the 1st floor but no lift was availableWe booked for the evening meal but were disappointed, There was no choice of menu and the food was quite basic
