- The staff was very welcoming and nice. The dinner was not good - we had fish and the vegetarian option. The fish was not fresh so it was a little disappointing. Breakfast was very nice though and the room was spacious with a gorgeous ocean view.

- The dinner
- Dinner was not up to expectations. If you arrive later in the day, good luck finding a parking space...
- When the winds blow up the fjord the smell of the fish factory could be strong.

This is a very unique Foss branded hotel located on the water in a historic fishing village. The history of the town is passed down through the museum located on property. Staff were amazing. Hotel restaurant is the best in town.
The history and staff friendliness. Very welcoming and professional. Great service at dinner. Beautiful location and the staff even asked us if we would like to step outside after dinner for a great sunset photo opportunity.
There was not much that we didn’t like.
The view from the restaurant is beautiful.
The road was loud, other guests were loud in the hall late at night, our room had a limited view as we were in the building above registration.
Overall, the combination of delicious food and breathtaking fjord views makes for a memorable stay
Fosshotel Eastfjords offers a fantastic breakfast with a great food selection, all enjoyed with stunning panoramic views of the fjord right outside the restaurant.
Easiness of check in, location. Very clean
Very comfortable hotel, right on the fjord. We loved that there was a dock to enjoy the water. The room was clean and very comfortable. The town was a sleepy Iceland fishing town, which was great. We wanted something in between Höfn and Egilsstaðir that was nice, this hotel was perfect.
We struggled to figure out the parking and find the lobby when we first arrived. We didn't know the hotel covered multiple buildings, perhaps provide more information after booking.
Beautiful historical hotel with lovely water views. Excellent breakfast and restaurant on site open for dinner.
This is not a posh hotel.. but it has such a nice ambiance for relaxation and meditation! It has a nostalgic feel to it!The staff is welcoming and helpful. The restaurant is great.. we had a very delicious dinner and a good breakfast! The food was outstanding and affordable! The waitress was very attentive and kind. The surroundings of the property is exceptional.. with the hotel overlooking the lake and the mountains.. on the sides there are small ports and the back of a hotel is a resting town rich in history.
Nothing to complain about
Very comfortable and clean room with its own little terrace with views out on the water. Nice restaurant with good breakfast. Very helpful staff.
Very quirky hotel..we have stayed here before, so we knew what it was like.Staff very friendly..bedroom lacked room for suitcases..ok if you only have one suitcase..no room to put things in the bathroom…small shower head bracket was broken so had to use the larger shower.Lovely display of northern lights and we seen a seal from our bedroom window.Good breakfast.
Small shower head bracket broken so had to use larger shower head.Lack of space in bathroom to put your wash bag etc..lack of room in bedroom to put more than one suitcase.
Great staff, excellent restaurant, on the water in a quaint town, historic building with very interesting story, free parking. Saw northern lights from our balcony.
Staff could not have been nicer, room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was very good.
NA
Location . Quirky old fashioned detail and the museum!
No porridge at breakfast!
Located on the water. We had a beautiful view from our room. Rooms were comfortable and spacious. Restaurant in hotel with excellent food and drink.
Location is gorgeous
Small flat Pillows, squealing door, dark hallway, some sort of mold in the room. Only restaurant open in town at the time we arrived and a bowl of soup was $27
nice hotel distributed in multiple buildings, nice view on the Fjord, good bar
small bathroom
There is a lot to say about this location. It is exceptionally worth a visit. The hotel is very good, the location excellent. The hotel has a museum which is worth seeing even 2 times, that you can understand everything. The staff is very friendly and provides useful information, especially if you want to get around the area.Nearby there are several places worth seeing. I recommend Petra, about 1 hour away, especially for people passionate about geology.
It may seem bizarre but there is a strong smell of fish throughout the area all day. It can be disturbing for some people. For me there were no problems.
