Pros +
- Great setting. Lovely design and decor. Really friendly staff and owner. Very good food. Everything was great
- This is a 19th century granite chateau set in very pretty well-tended grounds. The staff were helpful, and the cuisine exceptional, although certainly not cheap. The location of the property just of the A75 autoroute is useful for travellers to and from the south of France.
- Stunning architecture great grounds
Cons -
- Nothing to say
- We had booked a room in the Orangery because we had a large dog, and didn't want to have to negotiate stairs. We were offered a room in the chateau on arrival (there were only 2 other couples staying) but elected to stay in the orangery, which had not been fully prepared for our visit, and it took a reminder to staff before towels etc were sorted out. The cost of the orangery room was also too high for the standard of the room, although it did have the benefit of being near the swimming pool and spa (which did not appear to be open)
- Surprised by the price of the dinner

Perfect location just off motorway to stop on my way to Spain with dogs
The hotel phoned me the midmorning to tell me that the restaurant was closed and I was the only quest! They transfered my booking to their other hotel in the village which was decidedly down market. The restaurant was mediocre and the wine list boring. They then when presenting my bill forgot that I had already paid for their other hotel. Not good
Most of it
Friendly and helpful staff, (including resident dog!. Clean and comfortable, good location, lovely grounds, excellent restaurant.
Interior totally redecorated in modern French style. Fine if this is your preference - we would have preferred original period decor.
a perfect chateau with a great room. The quality of evening meal was exceptional and perfect for a couple.
probably a slightly basic breakfast.
Beautiful setting. Very pastoral with the woods and cows grazing in the fields. A very nice château with nice rooms very modern and well done bathroom.
garden and location
sadly restaurant was closed. usually an outstanding meal can be had
such lovely decor with fantastic restaurant and ildillic surroundings make this my go to hotel when travelling through to south west France. great place
It was an unforgettable Stay, walking in the quit Area, great Park! best food and very nice People. big thanks to Philippe, we enjoyed your concept of Service. See you again one day.best Klaus
nothing at all!
Awesome view from bedroom. Really cool decor Evening meal was delicious along with the friendly staff. Great hotel, would come again ?
Our room (5) could have had curtains. The room had shutters only which would have let the sun early but we put a blanket up to darken the room. maybe also tea/coffee in the room.
Very comfortable, loved the slightly quirky but contemporary interior and the staff were delightful. Dinner was fabulous and the buffet breakfast, simple but delicious - poss one of the best we've had on our travels. Lovely grounds to walk the dog.
It’s tranquil and the donkey sanctuary brings a beautiful element of nature that is wholly different. The house is modern yet retains its charm. Stephen the manager went out of his way to make us feel at home. The pool table is a fun distraction. Guests who are drawn to such a property tend to be friendlier and that makes you feel at home. Lastly bits location is excellent. Very easy to find and right off the highway. Yet at night you hear nothing. I loved every aspect of this place. Amazing coffee.
Lack of proper toiletries.
Property was very comfortable. Amazing room in the chateau. Dinner was exceptional.
This property is authentic and historical. However the interior is a stylish and contemporary.
Absolutely stunning
We were in the Annex which was nice but no plug for bath
