The owners were very nice and helpful, with good recommendations and willing to go the extra mile for the visitors.

No possibility to make a picnic at the hotel or in the garden, no restaurant… so we had to eat at a parking area because there was just one restaurant that was overbooked and a pizzeria, that was ok but not for 5 days in a row.

The location was very nice, lovely village and characteristic building.

The welcome was very cold. The lady was a bit unfriendly. It seems she didn’t like to be there.The rooms were too hot, it was 28 degrees inside. It was very difficult to sleep. The fan was insufficient.After we left, we noticed bedbugs bites.

The madame and monsieur at the reception were both kind and cheerful, they made our stay tasteful.My children enjoyed the pool, it was not so big, but a good size. Clean and simple.

We didn't know there was another hotel with the same name 8 km away. We first went there by mistake, haha.Fortunately, they were only 20 minutes away from each other. The 1st Hotel du Chateau was also kind.

Perfect location for our stay for the birthday of my mother 77 years .Perfect room and clean .

The owner -lady very antipatic and unfriendly.Mother while having breakfast was constantly harassed regarding that she needs to leave the room at 10.30 and no empathy atoll .Also not helpful regarding helping to bring the luggage down .Also food at restaurant very average and be careful with this lady because we ask clearly one dessert to be share for three as we just wanted to try and she came with three desserts and we had to pay for either her mistakes or to kind of pushing to be polite .I will definitely not come back because of this pathetic lady and I’m afraid that if carry on that way soon there will be a new owner because hospitality is a real business .

The new owners, Nicolas and Elaine were so friendly and gave us a very warm welcome. They also gave us lots of great recommendations for where to visit and see plus a wonderful restaurant in Martel for dinner. The room was very clean with a comfortable bed, good pillows and nice linens. They had turned on the heater so it was cozy and warm when we checked in. We enjoyed a great breakfast, all kinds of fresh bread, pastries, good coffee, yogurt, boiled eggs, fruit etc. Overall, a great stay at a lovely country chateau with terrific hosts! Highly recommend and would come again.

There wasn’t any air con and it was 40 degrees, not that the hotel can help the weather but the fan in our room struggled to keep us cool

Spotlessly clean, great location for Rocamadour. Swimming pool was excellent and great parking. Staff were extremely helpful.

No refreshments in the room, and no bar or drinks machine available in common areas after 9pm. Breakfast choice was limited.

The lady at reception (I think she might be the owner), was delightful. She doesn't speak any English, but she speaks some Spanish so we communicated that way. Our room was tiny but immaculate and the window had a mosquito net, which doesn't seem to be a standard feature in French hotels. Free on-site parking is always appreciated.

There isn't a lift so dragging our suitcases up two flights of stairs was hard work. But again, it seems to be normal for smaller French hotels not to have lifts, so we took it in our stride.

Very kind welcome, clean room, great park in front of the hotel. Whole Alvignac is a very nice city.

location was great to visit the caves, only 15 mins max away. Had super breakfast for 10 euros each and they provided gluten free bread for my husband. Very friendly Staff. Tiny surrounding area but very pretty. Church, pool, bar which was also shop and petrol station. Local bread shop and pizza further down the road.

Could really have done with a drink provided in the room. No water, tea, coffee facilities.

We liked the location. It was conveniently located to the attractions we wanted to visit without the overwhelming tourist traffic. The accommodations were small but perfect for our needs. It was the only place we stayed where breakfast was included. It was quiet at night!

Can not think of anything we did not like.

The welcome by the staff. Location is lovely and inspirational, right next to the old church. Swimming pool is delightfully located and dinner on the terrace was great. Good buffet breakfast. Easy to exchange ideas with other guests due to comfy atmosphere. Good wifi. Super helpful staff. Mosquito nets on windows!

Children running in the corridors, though the hotel owners have nothing to do with this situation. Suggestion: refresh the breakfast room. Provide more pillows for pillow fights, we ran out of ammo too quickly.
