Pros +
- The property was very pretty with lovely Greys and the room we had looked initially very nice
- The room was large with a walk-in shower and a separate toilet area. Large doors/windows opened out onto the front allowing for plenty of fresh air. There is no air-conditioning, so this was useful for the summer nights. The bed was comfortable and a variety of alternative bedding covers and pillows were provided. The staff were friendly and helpful.
- The room was spacious and very comfortable. The restaurant food was very good and excellent service.
Cons -
- We had cockroaches in the room in the evening. I killed two and I’ve taken photos of them. The temperature in the room was ridiculous. Yes, the whole of Bordeaux area was suffering a heat wave but all that was in the room was a small Dyson fan this was nowhere near adequate to keep the room cool enough to sleep at night.
- The remember of staff on reception was not very friendly compared with everyone else we have experienced on out travels this holiday.

Room was very large with shower and toilet facilities. It was on the ground floor which we requested. The restaurant was very nice well presented and the food was excellent however the portions were to much and we couldn’t eat all our food.

Quiet village location, good size rooms and friendly staff
Perfect location, the room was very big.The staff is very kind and breakfast was very tasty
The room could have been cleaner (the floor was quite dusty). The staff speaks only French
Clean and comfortable
Very quiet, too quiet for me. Bar and restaurant closed two evenings and no one else in the building. Would have liked tea and coffee in the room.
Location, room, dinner
Staff obviously stretched and service very slow and perfunctory
The food was excellent, and we liked the room. The ambience in the outdoor eating area was excellent. Would stay again.
The welcome was rather muted, however we did arrive a little early.
Great restaurant serving local produce and wines. Safe and spacious car park.
We visited for a few days for a family wedding in the area. This is a stunning location in rural France, surrounded by vineyards & great for wine tasting experiences. There is a local bakery, and Castillon is less than 10 minutes drive away. You will need a car to stay here. The evening meals were good & breakfast was okay - coffee/ tea/ orange juice & a help yourself buffet of bread, pastry, cheese, cold cuts and cereals & DIY boiled eggs. The rooms were modern & clean and views beautiful. It was very enjoyable to spend days and evenings sat on the patio though definitely remember your mosquito repellant!Staff were lovely and helpful despite our poor French. There is a bar for a nice evening glass of wine.
If you choose to stay here, please note there is a Dyson fan in the room but no air conditioningThere is no tea/ coffee making facility in rooms & no fridge- which is important because everything is locked up on Sundays, we managed to get breakfast but after that there was no access to food or drinks- so you’ll need a bottle of water in advance!
Very good value for money, friendly staff, simple, good food, excellent wine selection, clean

Breakfast. We paid extra for breakfast each day since the hotel is very isolated with mo other options nearby. Very limited choice and mostly sweet pastries. Only hot option was boiled eggs which you had to cook yourself. Four mornings eating boiled ages was too much.! Also coffee provided by the cup at breakfast and we constantly had to ask for refills since the staff did not appear interested and did not offer.
room clean
everything was locked after 6pm on Sunday and Saturday.
Very comfortable room, nice and cool, clean, nice outside space. The manager was extremely helpful.
Two toothbrushes, although we took our own anyway. Quite a wait for the hot water to come through. The hairdryer didn't work and the promised replacement didn't arrive, so I borrowed one from a family member's room (and returned it).
Comfortable room. Good restaurant.
Very weak hi fi connection and tepid hot water.
Room, spa and restaurant.
Lovely hotel with very pleasant staff.Lovely breakfast. Highly recommended.
No air con but a great Dyson fan.
All the staff were friendly and helpful, even with my limited French.
no aircon but they did supply a fan which helped.
beautiful location and building. Staff were friendly and accomadating. Breakfast was simple, but effective. Rooms were well decorated and comfy.
