Price on Booking.com stated came with breakfast. It was not for us as a couple only 1 person

Small property newly remodeled with very nice modern touches. Grounds were very nice with lots of open space and pool. Limited but adeaquate services on site. Good location to explore area. Restful place.

All was good. The room very clean. The staff very nice. They gave us a tour around the castle to tell about the history of it and was very interesting.

Very nice quiet place with good design and friendly professional staff.

Our stay at Château Maraval was nothing short of magical. Laurie and Dorian provided personalized service that went above and beyond, making every moment unforgettable. The property itself is an enchanting old convent with a rich history dating back to the Hundred Years' War. Laurie dedicated more than a year to researching the story of the place, diving into historical archives to uncover its fascinating past, which she shared with us during our stay.Perfectly located near the best towns in the region, Château Maraval is a haven of tranquility. The stars at night are breathtaking, and the serene forest brings deer right to your view as you enjoy breakfast. Laurie and Dorian truly made our anniversary unforgettable by filling the room with roses and helping us secure reservations at top spots.Château Maraval is not just a stay; it’s an extraordinary experience of history, beauty, and unmatched hospitality. Highly recommend!

Nothing at all.

The property and its grounds were stunning. The attention to detail and personalisation was outstanding. The manager of the hotel gave us a tour of the building and grounds with information about its history which was really interesting and added a special touch. We were welcomed with exceptional service (and a complimentary arrival drink) and genuinely felt like nothing was too much for the staff. The room was decorated to perfection and had everything you’d think of needing. You have personal use of the spa area by giving a little notice which is something we’ve never had before. The grounds, decor, staff and breakfast were all perfect and genuinely can’t be faulted. We can’t wait to stay again in summer!

Beautiful location and converted chateau. Lori the housekeeper/concierge was excellent and as an ex English teacher spoke perfect English! She was very helpful with suggestions for trips, castles and restaurants. Spotlessly clean great breakfast and even spa facilities, which were used as it rained all of our time there. The proprietor was also great finding the best breakfast bacon and suggesting trips, which included a visit to Domme a beautiful local village.

It was fabulous Lori the hotel manager was outstanding she showed us round told us all the history about the chateau she booked us the most amazing meal at a fabulous restaurant and even drove us there and picked us up Breakfast lady was amazing It is just the most beautiful and magical place and we will definitely visit again I would recommend any one to visit and stay there it was amazing.

Not one single thing

The interior of the Chateau was spotlessly clean and modern. The hotel manager spoke flawless English and was ready to answer any requests we had, and to arrange dinner reservations for us. Everything in the place was of top quality. We were told that renovations had been done less than a year previously. The manager greeted us personally upon arrival, gave us a tour of the key features of the house and grounds, and a brief history of the place. She then provided complimentary beverages to enjoy, followed by showing us our room and it's features. We were treated like nobility, everything was first class!

The property had set up a series of automatic communications through Booking.com. These communications, while informative, also gave an impression that check in was a far more complicated process than it actually was. In the end we just showed up and they took excellent care of us.

The sheer quality of everything from facilities to the perfect hosts of Thierry and Ann-Marie sum up Chateau de Maraval. The room was superb and we loved the soft walk in shower tray. The spa was was fun and the breakfast was excellent. The common rooms for guests were stylish and comfortable.

It is impossible to not like anything about this Chateau as it is as good as it gets.

This property is exceptional. The friendly and accomodating owner has thought of every detail. Beautiful garden and pool area. Highly recommended.

Host was very helpful; we arrived late and he immediately phones local restaurants to find a table for that evening. All facilities are of a very high standard. Breakfast excellent, spa and pool facilities are also very good.Location is very central for exploring the Dordogne Valley.

very nice, well maintained building, room and grounds. Beautiful garden and pool. Spa in the basement that coujld be used privately. Friendly and helpful staff. Great breakfast (optional) and free refreshments and snacks during the day. Great stay! absolutely recommended.

Accommodation, grounds and setting were amazing.

We clarified with the hosts after we arrived that we were unable to use the kitchen, which meant we had to travel to get lunch and dinner. Slightly further out of town than we had anticipated.

Wonderful stay. Quiet, elegant and stylish. Great owners who were very helpful. Lovely pool in a park with birdsong. Yummy breakfasts

Beautiful room and chateau with lovely grounds, swimming pool and spa. Exceptional hosts who have thought of every tiny detail. Delicious breakfast with homemade cakes by Thierry - very impressive!! Would also strongly recommend a massage.
