Made very welcome, easy check in, lovely comfortable clean room....and on the ground floor...bonus?

The staff were very friendly and efficient, and the manager(ess) communicted in excellent English... thank you very much!

An extra chair, or stool, would have been good. The arrangement of the shower door made it impossible to keep water off the bathroom floor!

Easy to find. Great parking. Friendly staff. Good food at breakfast and dinner.

Room was cold at night. Had to get up and put on a jumper. Dinner was a strange experience. Everyone besides us got a starter and we got charged full price. It is quite easy to redistribute soup to include two extra customers. It made us feel ripped off and wondering was it because we are Irish and not French. It was a pity because the dinner room was nice, and the food that we did have was tasty.

Well appointed Bedrooms and Restaurant. Family owned and run. Staff were all extremely friendly and Food was excellent and great value.Nice Beach close by - great for walking the Dog ( which we could take into the Restaurant for Dinner ).A very enjoyable stay - we will certainly book again when we are taking the Ferry

Cute well located small hotel very close to the sea and convenient for the ferry port. All the staff were welcoming and helpful. I travelled with 2 small dogs and had a great ground floor room opening onto a small lawn. Well decorated, clean and comfortable. Easy to walk along the promenade into Cherbourg. Great restaurant and small bar on site which served home cooked dinner and a decent continental breakfast. Great choice if you are travelling or visiting the area.

Simple breakfast fare. The Monday evening meal was very good too.

There could have been more hanging and cupboard space for clothes - the lack of it made the room seem cramped.

Very clean and well kept with easy parking

To take a shower one had to step in and out of a bath - stepping out is a bit hazardous as the bath is very slippery

Easy check in and very polite staff throughout our stay. We only had a meal in the restaurant one night but it was homemade and delicious (cod & chips)

We stayed 4 nights but after using the complimentary tea and coffee on the first day they wasn't replaced the whole stay, we went and bought our own tea, coffee and milk.

Excellent choice for an overnight rest before taking the ferry. Convenient location but away from heavy traffic. Comfortable and clean and good food in the restaurant even for us vegetarians. Friendly staff.

Lovely modern hotel in quiet location. Evening meal was excellent and served quicklyOur room was comfortable and very clean.The staff were very friendly.We had our dog with us no problem. The breakfast was good..

We liked everything perfect small comfortable hotel.

Staff were brilliant. Very helpful, especially when we arrived and kept missing the car park. We were on 7 motorcycles.

The reception staff were good

We were quite disappointed with our stay at the Shelder Hotel, the reception staff were friendly and helpful, but our room was very small, the bathroom was only just large enough to get in, the bed was the main problem, it felt very lumpy, and we both slept badly, breakfast wasn't great in the morning either.

Adequate for overnight stop. Good parking.

Breakfast was poor, no bread available even at 9:30 when breakfast finished at 11:00am! Room seemed very dark.

Exceptional staff and food, great value. A proper dog friendly hotel too which is good to. Breakfast was awesome, plenty for a fussy eater . Dinner was great too, all homemade. Handy for the ferry and very easy parking.Rooms were very modern and opened outside for dogs, beds very comfortable

Noise and doors in the hallway can be heard but blocked out with earplugs it a light sleeper
