Hôtel De Paris

A motel style room at the back of the hotel, simple but clean and comfortable. Located in the village centre close to the restaurant, bar and a few shops. Secure garage storage for my bicycle.

Have been staying here regularly for forty years. We particularly love the orchard at the back with a wonderful view of the countryside and nice chairs snd picnic tables.

No complaints.

Very helpful staff. Good breakfast. It was good to have a secure room to put our bicycles. Had a secluded, peaceful garden with tables and chairs which you could use in the evening. Simple but comfortable bedrooms

Good value for money. Basic but very clean and bed comfortable. Parking outside.

Breakfast room very dull - needs to look more welcoming. We chose to have breakfast elsewhere.

Stains of humidity on the ceiling and strong smell of humidity. Spider webs in the bathroom. Tv reception was not good and poor wifi reception as well. This room 34 needs to be refurbished.

The room was warm and comfortable. The bathroom was obviously new and very well appointed. The hotel owner was very helpful.

Lovely homely hotel, the staff were very attentive and looked after us on arrival. We arrived by bike in the pouring rain and staff helped us in and gave us clean towels to dry off then took us to our rooms and gave us great recommendations for places to eat for dinner. Breakfast was good

Lovely little hotel away from the main tourist area, easy parking outside the door.Great cycle routes around the hotel and well signposted.

Not the hotels fault, but only a small number of places that serve evening food, so book one early in the day.

Nice room, very clean, lovely garden, Friendly and helpful staff. Parking is great, locked after 8:30 so you do not have to worry about a car or motorbike

Comfy bed, clean bedsheets, clean shower. Staff was really nice and kind.

The WiFi networks don't work. They have 2 different WiFi, but none worked for us (room 18).

Being very picky but a plug socket for the very welcome tea/coffee kettle would be helpful. We had to move the whole unit on to the floor next to nearest socket! Otherwise everything good.

We did not have breakfast. Hotel was well located in Barneville

Room was small but clean. The tv was not plugged in and as the connection was in the ceiling we could not reach it. Staff are off duty at 9 pm so our intention to watch the Commonwealth Games was thwarted!

It was very warm and difficult to access fresh air in room 31. No air con and opening windows on the ground floor was neither sensible nor easy to do. Therefore sleep, despite a very comfortable bed, was not as it should have been

Some members of the staff were great. So was the bread too

How to get there, e.g. t he door code and unavailability of the staff during day time

The staff were so friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome.We arrived by bicycle on Sunday evening, when the local restaurant was closed. They booked a table at a fabulous restaurant nearby and organised a taxi.Also the buffet breakfast was delicious .I would highly recommend this place.

Room was small. Restaurant no longer open though breakfast was available
