About
The Eden Park Hotel Restaurant is located in the heart of the Pays d'Auge, 15 minutes from Deauville, Trouville and Honfleur. The hotel restaurant is located on the edge of the Pont l'Evêque lake, in a quiet area surrounded by an orchard. You can walk or cycle around the lake on a path that leads to the beach. On the leisure base of the lake, you can practice water activities (paying) in season and take advantage of it to swim. The hotel has 50 double and family rooms (accessible by stairs) with private bathrooms. The Comfort and Superior rooms were renovated in 2022. They are functional and have a view of the courtyard or the garden. The restaurant, with a panoramic view of the lake, welcomes you 7 days a week during the season (reservation required). It serves seasonal dishes prepared with local products. Several formulas on the slate are available. Paris is an hour and a half away by car from the Eden Park Hotel Restaurant.

- The property is exactly as described on booking, it is conveniently located for the motorways but is in a delightful rural setting by the side of a lake.Dinner was wonderful , great value and served in the Lakeside restaurant. After dinner, we sat in deck chairs sipping beer and watching the sunset by the lake side. Our dog was welcome.Breakfast was very good.
- Beautiful scenery, hôtel very clean & quiet, very helpful staff
Cons -
- No elevator
- There was nothing that we didn’t like, however a couple of points to note; the rooms are small and are not air conditioned, the bar closes at 10 when the staff leave, there were a lot of midges in late May.
- Had to carry our luggage up to the second level.

Beautiful scenery, hôtel very clean & quiet, very helpful staff
The hotel was well located - just out of town, on the shores of a pretty lake. On site parking was greatly appreciated. Having a restaurant on site was convenient. The meals (dinner and breakfast) were good.
Had to carry our luggage up to the second level.
Great location, very friendly staff and great facilities
Great location. Comfortable beds.
The room was too cold and we found not get it quite warm enough even with the small heater on full.
Won't stay there again or recommend anyone else to do so.
Nearly everything - No lift wife disabled. Excessive pets.
very accomadating staff excellent meal great location and good value
Very attractive locationFriendly staffExcellent dinner
Dinner was superb - congratulations to chef Francois-Xavier for 3 terrific courses. Well done. Breakfast was fine too. Fantastic wildlife, geese, ducks and an otter!
Initial registration could have been a little easier but could be language difficulty. That’s our fault! There was no lift and my husband has a new knee and heart failure so stairs were a problem. Next time we’ll book a ground floor room.
Excellent location. Nice rooms.
My husband’s meal was not good. Tough steak and awful greasy chips. Staff were not very interested when he mentioned this. My salmon was excellent.
There was a very good selection of food for breakfast lots to choose from. The view from the restaurant was across the lake and was lovely. The restaurant was full the night we arrived but the staff suggested a restaurant close by. The restaurant was good and perfect for our needs.
All good.
The room was clean and comfortable, although bathroom on the small size. Good WiFi reception in the room,The air conditioning wa goof which was very much needed for hot and humid evening
My wife is coaliac and thus needs a gluten free diet for medical reasons, this I advise hotel at the time of booking which the reply was gluten free options could be accommodated, this was confirmed again when we checked in.However it would appear that one member of the team didn’t understand was gluten free meant. First the bread appeared both normal and gluten free bread in the same basket this meaning the gluten free bread was cross contaminated.None of the starters was gluten free so a tomato salad was provide. My wife asked the waiter specifically about the mackerel dish for main course and was told it was gluten free. My wife started to eat the dish, she ate some of the vegetables with the meal, but I was concerned about one of the ingredients called the waiter over and asked him what the ingredient was. He went away and came back and said it was wheat, which my wife remarked it contained gluten and thus the course could no be gluten free. He went away again and came back showing us the ingredient on his mobile phone as spelled wheat, which has less gluten but is not gluten free.We complained to reception and eventually an apology was given and we were not charged for the meal, this was welcomed by ourselvesThis however was too late for my wife who within an hour showed symptoms of gluten intolerance including headache, brain fog and digestive problems, fortunately as she had not eaten the full meal otherwise it may have been worse. The restaurant staff and chefs need to be trained in offering advice on gluten free options or the hotel needs to state that it cannot provide meals for allergy sufferers
Lovely location with excellent food and generally helpful staff
We stayed 3 nights but were only able to secure a reservation in the restaurant for 1 evening and our request to eat on the other 2 evenings was met with a flat no. Sure we should have booked in advance of our stay but it's unusual for a hotel to turn away guests from the restaurant
Access to lake is amazing although powered water sports (power boat and jet skis) appear to get preference over swimmers. With such a massive lake, why not impose half and half? Nothing to do with hotel
Breakfast was a light continental. Not a great deal of choice and three days of the same.
Great family Room, convenient location . Lovely restaurant with view on the lac.And staff is great , would definitely recommend !
Great location. Ample parking. Restaurant. Friendly staff.
Location by the lake was wonderful, with walks along the edge straight from the hotel. Restaurant positioned overlooking the lake.
Room was hot and although we could open the window, the curtain blocked the draught, and we needed the curtain as we were on the ground floor. No kettle and the "hot" water provided for our thermos flask for coffee en route was not very hot.
Good location to break our journey. Nice setting on a lake with plenty of parking.
A very average place including the food.
Great setting by the lake.
While the food in the restaurant is very good the service was poor. We waited 20 minutes before we were given a menu, a further 20 minutes before I asked about our drinks and a further 20 minutes before our food arrived.
