    Pros +

    • Our room had all the necessary amenities required for a comfortable stay. The rooms are small but adequate. The highlight of our stay was the meal experience. The menu is fairly diverse and very well prepared. The wine list is compact, but again, it was very well thought through. Kornelia, the hostess, was so charming, sweet, playful, helpful, smart, and beautiful! The food and wine were good, but Kornelia elevated our experience beyond exceptional. I know that my review probably sounds as if I'm gushing about Kornelia, but she really was the catalyst to our memorable evening.
    • Excellent breakfast. Good variety of fresh bread and pastries jams, meat and cheese
    • Staff were amazing as soon as we arrived and they continued to look after us all evening throughout a busy dinner service. Dinner was delicious and very reasonably priced. We then came down in the morning to a set breakfast laid out for us which was the perfect start to our holiday.

    Cons -

    • It was all good.
    • The duvet was rather heavy for the time of year(personal preference)
    • The lighting could do with changing so that one person can read or get to the bathroom without waking the other(s): all the bedside lights were on the same switch. Curtains would also be useful - the electric shutter was the only way of covering the window, and it was noisy if one wanted to get to the balcony at night.

Basic but very clean hotel on a very busy road, with an astounding gourmet restaurant. Very nice bathroom. Convenient location for breaking the journey from the channel ports. Great service.

Curtains would also be useful - the electric shutter was the only way of covering the window, and it was noisy if one wanted to get to the balcony at night.

The hotel location is central and convenient, in the beautiful Pays d’Auge. The restaurant is excellent, and there was a log fire in the dining room, very cosy and atmospheric.

Cheerful welcome, easy parking, pleasant atmosphere and good dinner, with a wood fire in the background. Breakfast next morning was quite exceptional: generous and varied, with the cheeses truly memorable.

Rooms a bit cheerless on arrival, though warmed up fine. Nicely modernised bathrooms. But would be very happy to stay again and would thoroughly recommend.

Very cozy small hotel. Even though the reception was not open until 18.30 on arrival there was a number to call for earlier access. Excellent food in the restaurant.

    9VanessaPosted on: 7-9-2022

The food and service for the Dinner and Breakfast was excellent and because the Restaurant is open to the Public it made for a good atmosphere. Plenty of free parking. The rooms had recently been modernised and were to a good standard.

The entrance to the Hotel was a bit austere and we did wonder what to expect. Don't judge on first appearances!

Wonderful staff! So friendly and helpful. We enjoyed a fabulous meal in the exceptional restaurant. We were served by two lovely ladies who, although busy, always had a smile on their faces and were happy to chat and joke with us. The bedroom was perfectly adequate with a modern shower room. Very quiet at night, even though the village road passes the front of the property. The chef surpassed himself on the delicious food we ate. Highly recommend eating here! The owners/managers (who were also the chef and his front-of-house wife!) went above and beyond in helping us to find the right broadband in order to watch Emma Radacanu playing and winning in the US Open. It wasn’t easy but they stayed up late to enable this for us. Definitely value-added service!

Hotel area slightly dated but immaculately clean and comfortable bedding.
