Easy check in. The room we had 601 was approximately 200m from reception. The estate is huge .Loved the pool and the restaurant was good value. Ideal stop over on a St Malo to Nice bike ride.

It was all good.

Swimming pool, nice staff, very good restaurant, nice rooms.

Lack of air conditioning while it was 36 degrees outside.

Lovely setting. Lovely the layout of the hotel. Room was spacious and just what we needed. Facilities at the hotel were fantastic and kept the kids entertained. Staff were lovely and really helpful and friendly.

Wonderful location. Extremely peaceful and fabulous facilities. Restaurant is also very good.

THe rooms are indeed basic when compared to the rest of the hotel facilities. But the rooms are clean and the beds comfortable. and it wouldn't take much to improve them.

Setting and self-contained rooms. Swimming pool and great service from staff in dining room.

We couldn’t get WiFi in our rooms (430 and 431)Room tea tray only had paper cups. Surely china mugs possible? No milk either and v limited selection of tea (I had to ask for English breakfast tea on both days.) No fan in one room.

Breakfast & restaurant was excellent. Staff were very friendly.

Sweeping or vacuuming the bedroom. Upgrading the second tennis court with the astro-turf.

This was my second visit to Domaine de Roiffé. I travel by car and one of the best things is I do not need to worry about parking. The estate is lovely and quiet, restaurant is great and there is plenty to do there if you're an outdoorsy person.

Price quality ratio would assume that the bathrooms would be better equipped. I especially miss tissue paper (Kleenex), the shower gel/shampoo bottle in the shower was almost empty. Small things like this mean a lot. It would also be nice to have a lockbox in the room.

I have stayed here before a while back, it is a quirky set up in that you don't stay in one building as there are several large 3 storey buildings arranged down a central street with the reception, restaurant and pool located at the end. There is also a games room, crazy golf and a countryside walk you can do. The pool was very warm and very welcomed after the days motorbike ride and the restaurant was good, which is a good job as there isn't anything around within walking distance.Staff were all nice and friendly and the room was clean, spacious and peaceful.

All clean. Room in a separate block was nice.

Just the tea/coffee facilities were very basic and the towels. No Aircon for the room, but did not need it.

Florian on reception was excellent- from the moment we walked in she Knew my Name !!She knew we needed Water She booked our Table reservations She did a map to our Room And she allowed us to use the Swimming Pool

Comfortable beds, rooms nicely decorated, beautiful grounds

Very limited on times for getting food. Limited menu that is very expensive. Breakfast not good - very little choice and too expensive at €15 per adult.

The rooms are in different buildings. The grounds are huge and there is plenty to do - pool, mini golf etcDinner was lovely, on the terrace overlooking the golf course

Beautiful grounds, pool, games areas for the children, close to Abbeye Fontevraud, Saumur, Chinon.Restaurants serving good quality food.Bedrooms spacious

Friendly and helpful staff it has a nice bar and restaurant area overlooking the golf course but the "Deluxe" room which we booked was not very good very basic and the bed was positioned against the hallway wall so you could here every one coming and going poor layout of rooms however the bed was comfortable

The spread out nature of the accommodation buildings there was no functioning wifi

Dog owners be aware that dogs are not allowed in the restaurant or public places. We booked because it said dogs were allowed and I emailed in advance, but we weren't told the above fact until we checked in, which rather spoiled the visit for us. The room's neighbours' plumbing was very loud and the staircase echoes were too particularly first thing in the morning.

The dinner and breakfast were very good. Comfortable room which was very clean. Interesting to be staying in an building which was once a penitentiary!!

It didn’t bother us so much as the weather was dry, but the rooms being apart from the main building could be a problem for some.

The breakfast was very good. The walk was nice, as was the location and 'cadre'. Most of the staff were friendly and welcoming.

The public areas of the lodges were rather scruffy and the modern decor if the rooms looked a bit cheap (Novotel-ish). The dinner menu was good but limited and nothing special.
