    Pros +

    • Beautiful and peaceful location. 20 to 30 minutes from Puy du Fou. Village close by. Spacious room in the old fashioned style. Nice breakfast. Very confortable.
    • Beautiful grounds, large comfortable rooms. Brilliant walk in shower. Covered pool
    • The location, grounds, surrounding areas and room.Loved the evening meal on the lawn. Enjoyed my swim in the outdoor pool. The hostess was very friendly and spoke English too.

    Cons -

    • It was very quiet only one or two guests
    • The four poster bed was quite high for me, I'm quite short, also it was a very warm night but there was a fan in the room.
    • Unfortunately seemingly unable to accomodate anything that is not arranged beforehand. It would have been nice to sit outside and have a beer and a snack after our long journey but this was impossible. We felt like a nuisance and had to leave the premises and find a Lidl. The breakfast was nice but the dining room had the atmosphere of a morgue. Not a relaxing stay!

Loved the location. Was able to go for a run before breakfast on quiet country roads. Extremely comfortable bed ( with style - a fourposter ) and lovely modern bathroom. Characterful style with modern comfort.

It is a beautiful area and chateau, comfortable bedroom and nice pool.

    Pleasant surroundings. Big pool.

Staff very poker faced, not especially friendly. Not offered any kind of drink and no evidence of a bar or cold drink in room. Asked to order dinner within minutes of arriving before we had even seen room. Dinner very expensive for what it was. Breakfast service surly and mute.

    7DrissPosted on: 8-8-2022

It s quiet and in the middle of no where,

There is no tea or coffee facility in the room, considering the establishment is advertised as CHATEAU.

    8CatherinePosted on: 7-28-2022

The pool and rooms were great plus the general surroundings and grounds - very high quality.

No restaurant despite booking.com saying there was. Also very noisy as there was a big group partying until the early hours of the morning. They should have been told to keep the noise down or moved to another area where they wouldn’t disturb other guests.

    8JanePosted on: 7-26-2022

The rooms were beautiful and bathroom fantastic.

The swimming pool was grubby and breakfast was expensive for a small selection. We weren't informed of any of the facilities on check in and there was no map of the grounds in our room.

The domain is located perfectly if visiting the Puy du Fou. The family room was comfortable, clean and had a superb bath which was very relaxing. The large swimming pool was great. The large grounds have tables for a picnic (strongly recommended as the dining facilities were not available due to restrictions - however packed lunches could be requested).

Limited information is provided upon arrival, so be sure to ask questions, as it can then be difficult to find someone later. There is a bar onsite and currently open, but there was no-one serving. There is a spa, but zero information on booking it, or what facilities are available. So phone ahead and ask for the information upfront.Make sure to ask for extra towels as only 2 were provided for 4 people. The family room for 4 was okay, though the mezzanine was cramped. TV was provided in the mezzanine, but without means of connection, so not sure of the value of it. Wifi was exceptionally poor in the room (but it was on the top floor), but apparently excellent in the bar.The breakfast is seriously overpriced, and therefore we chose to eat elsewhere. Seems to be more of a domain than a chateau, and overall a little bit overpriced.

It was in a beautiful setting. Our room was really spacious and at times it felt like we had the whole place to ourselves.

    Nothing. It was lovely.
