ibis budget Niort - La Crèche

We booked to spend a night and arrive late a bit after 23:59 and the automatic check in did not work so we lost the pre-paid money booking. We were very unhappy about this after a long drive and had to look for another place. We did not get a refund either. Avoid this place. Many other hotels allow for late entrance so I would not risk with this one anymore.

Automatic check-in did not work and we had booked in advance. We haven't had a problem with Ibis Budget before but will avoid them in future because it is not acceptable to pay in advance and be denied entrance

Its a Budget Ibis, low cost near a motorway to make them useful. Big disabled person reception handy. Breakfast good

Electric points removed in the room except one by the TV. I use a sleeping breathing machine and running was complicated. I will not use the place again because of the difficulty of used breathing machine!

Functional, value stop just off the ring road around Niort. Receptionist very helpful, brought extra pillows on request. Also, a restaurant opposite which we hadn't realised until the next morning.

Room quite small and basic even compared to other Ibis budget (eg Carcassonne). Breakfast felt slightly under par (squashed pastries, stale baguette chunks) but had everything inc fresh fruit, yoghurt, cakes and even almond milk and a toaster.

The room was quiet

The shower holder was broken and the bunk above the bed. I hit my head on waking in the morning.

The size of the room and the fact that the hotel is pet friendly. There was plenty of parking for our car and our 7m boat trailer. Restaurant l'Essentiel nearby is an added bonus. Travelling from Perpignan to Roscoff it is the perfect stop over point for us. Merci.

If we had one criticism it would be the restricted choices for breakfast.

Ibis as always is exactly as described and photos are true. Clean, pleasant staff, plentiful breakfast. You can’t go wrong for a short stay layover at Ibis.

That we could have our pets in the room which was very convenient. Close to motorway on which we were travelling. Simple clean room which was exactly what we needed. Nice staff.

The pillows weren't very good, very thin. My code didn't work on the front door in the morning and I got locked out trying to pack the car!

The room smell was almost unbearable, the shower and toilet were very claustrophobic. In one of the rooms the bunk bed had cracks all on the fittings which were worrying and the toilet did not work, it was blocked and the flush wasn't working

Location was good for us, shower was small but had great water pressure lovely and hot.

WIFI was not good.

It was nice and clean easy to find. It was very good. We both slept extremely well. The temperature in the room was excellent.

We were never able to check in!

The fact there was no reception to help us check in and no one answering the intercom or 24 hour phone line for checking in. We had travelled 12 hours and just wanted to have a sleep before carrying on to our next destination but due to the lack of staff and useless machine we were unable to. This then meant we were out of pocket for the money for the property but also paid around 30 euros in tolls to even get to the property!

Not a lot really, we weren't there long enough. Sadly because there was no wifi, which is essential for working we had to leave before we stayed.

No phone signal and no wifi meant that I could neither work nor could I look for a restaurant for food. We had to leave and book another hotel half an hour away. Ibis should refund our money in full, I doubt they will.

It does what it says on the tin. Budget Hotel but good value for the money. Clean comfortable rooms. Staff helpful and polite.

Friendly receptionist and I liked the breakfast and coffee. A fine hotel for an overnight stay
