Truly a joy! The staff are very friendly and helpful, making you feel welcome from the very first moment. The location is perfect as a central hub for exploring the area by car, while still offering a peaceful retreat surrounded by beautiful nature. The on-site restaurant and breakfast serve delicious food in a charming, scenic setting. A wonderful balance of comfort, convenience, and natural beauty.

The rooms are not all part of the main house nor the stables, but an adjoining building which is newly built and indistinct from any other hotel.Dinner closes early (20:30 last orders).Not at all worth the price.

Everything was superb, especially the restaurant. We were served an excellent evening meal featuring true French local cuisine in a magnificently designed and decorated dining room. Don’t understand why this hotel doesn’t have a higher rating.

Excellent breakfasts. Located close to the city so easy to get in and out.

We stayed in a modern cabin with no character, a shower with a damaged side wall and an unusable terrace. The photo of the main house implies that this is where you will stay but most of the rooms are elsewhere.

A charming hotel with landscaped gardens. A convenient location - just a short drive to most sites. The staff were excellent - both hotel and restaurant. The food in the restaurant is exceptionally good but it isn't open every night. The rooms vary in size. On both our stays we had rooms with sloping ceilings - tricky at times but full of character.

The bathrooms don't have walk-in showers and can be difficult to access if you have mobility issues.

Quiet, good breakfast and convenient

The property is amazing, the room we stayed in was exceptional, we have never seen such a more perfect room/ suit, we had an enormous room with a king size bed and a single with a seating area and desk fire place bathroom and another separate bedroom with 2 single beds in, tv, coffee and tea making facilities spotlessly clean, the amenities was the best we’ve seen restaurant bar swimming pool, I have no words that could explain this hotel it has to be seen, I would highly recommend this hotel and will be staying again but for longer

Lovely little hotel, very friendly staff, nice little pool and pretty gardens with a pond. It was near the road but felt peaceful.

We booked to eat in the restaurant but after 45 minutes we hadn't had an order taken, been offered drinks, given water or bread. Maybe the food was good but our party was too hungry to wait with no obvious prospect of being served.

Beautiful main building, nice rural setting (kids loved the ponies) friendly staff, short drive into Saumur which is lovely.

Pool quite small. No bar to get a drink, just the restaurant which is separate from the hotel and didn't seem to just serve drinks. Room a little shabby in places but comfortable.

it is a beautiful hotel in a lovely setting. The restaurant was lovely and the bedrooms we had were brilliant size.

When we turned up, our friends room have not been logged on the system despite confirmation of booking which caused a lot of stress and they were given a room which was substandard and tiny with a dangerous staircase for a child. This did not reflect our room or experience, but certainly did my friends.

Beautiful green surroundings with a lake and some animals. Cute pool. Beautiful authentic French building. Very friendly and helpful staff. Recommend eating at the restaurant there and have breakfast at the hotel.

Damp smell in the room we had. Was a room on the ground floor with two doors, no window. Though part of the charm being in an authentic and old French building.Pool smaller than expected compared to the photos online, but big enough for kids to play. To small for lane swimming.

The outside space was lovely and the animals were very exciting for the children. The restaurant was really good.

When we arrived they had my booking for us, the room given was dark with no windows and extremely hot. There were really difficult stairs and it didn’t suit our needs. Then we booked breakfast and when we turned up they had also forgotten about that booking, even though it was the same staff.

Lovely tradition property in a quiet location. Full of charm, albeit a little run down in places. The restaurant was amazing as previously mentioned in other reviews.

Our bedrooms were in what seemed to be converted stables to the main building. Quaint and a lovely idea however these buildings had no windows so felt a little dark and stuffy, especially in the warm summer months. We always travel with a fan- this was very much needed! The extractor fan in the bathroom didn’t seem to do anything!

Disappointed. Could be so much better.

On the Saturday before we left, our room wasn’t cleaned or the bed made. The toilet paper hadn’t been replaced and when we rang reception to request some, there were no staff in the hotel. A girl turned up in a red Fiat 500 10 minutes later. Given the hotel’s stars and prices, this was unacceptable. No staff present at breakfast on the preceding day, either.

Good location. Very comfortable bed. Fabrastic restaurant for evening menu ..despite some tiredness in the venue was very impressive in terms of bed and restaurant.

Shower. A bit dated and tattered around the edges.

Don’t be deceived by the photos thinking it is in the countryside. It is right beside a very busy interchange of a very busy road. The breakfast was very “tired”. Milk curdled, cheese very sad looking. Little choice.I had no hot water and received no apology.

Suitable location close to Saumur where we were for a couple of days. Overall site ok and breakfast was good.

We stayed in one of the two wagons on site. You only in reality get half a wagon which wasn’t made clear so the space was very cramped and as a result poor value for money versus the other rooms.

Bedrooms were very large and reception initially gave us a room in the top of the hotel and it was very hot - without asking they asked us if we wanted to move which was very good service. The room we then went to was even bigger. This property is excellent value and has a good restaurant with it as well. Breakfast was plentiful and priced well.
