Beautiful location and woodlands around it. Almost takes you back in time and can imagine the chateau in olden times. Clean enough. Staff was kind and helpful

The breakfast was a disappointment not much on offer more for show then substance. No service staff available for orders a help yourself to cold food. Not worth the price £12 each. For this price could have found better cold breakfast at the local supermarket.

Nestled in its own wooded park, the Château de Briançon offers beautifully appointed bedrooms with modern facilities and an old-world feeling. My bedroom was very, very large with lots of windows and a superb, modern bathroom. While there are lots of restaurants in the area in a comprehensive list in the room, I chose to have the hotel's Jar Dinner. Tasty salads and main dishes are served up in glass jars, making for a deliciously different dinner. The buffet breakfast offered more than I could desire. The hotel staff is friendly and efficient. Common rooms are clean and uncluttered. There is even a pet-friendly bedroom so your fur babies can accompany you. The value for money is exceptional, and profits go to an association for handicapped children. I felt that my stay was doing some good for someone <3

Rooms are big and inside the room you have a feeling that you stay in castle. It’s not a bad option to stay in this area because there almost no place to stay but there are much more minuses than pluses. It’s great that management supporting kids who are leaving inside the castle but guests who are paying for stay and by this action supporting kid shouldn’t suffering during the stay.

The castle in bad condition. Some parts ofit looking more like an office from 1970 than castle. Stuff is not realty involved in to the service of guests. You can’t eat after 20:00 and the nearest restaurant is 20 minutes drive. Kids are making crazy booze so you can’t go to sleep before 23:00 and not able to sleep after 7:00. So it’s more disappointment than joy.

Such a lovely great place! We loved our stay. It is also a charity donating the income to mentally disabled children. Receptionists were very kind and friendly. Breakfast was delicious.Car charging was free at 3kW used with home charger. There were 2 plugs available.

We spent a few days at Chateau Briançon. The grounds and the chateau are beautiful, the staff welcoming and helpful ?. e.

The only negative is there are not many restaurants opens if you travel end of October. The best option is to go to Angers which is about 20 mins driv

    fairy tales chateau, caring staff

Beautiful castle with a very charming atmosphere. The room was newly modelled and had very comfortable amenities. The staff were very friendly and exceptionally helpful. We really enjoyed our stay!

Huge room in an impressive building. Staff really nice and helpful.

    3TraceyPosted on: 10-10-2024

    it was clean.

There is only 1 member of staff on at any one time, and she leaves at 9pm. Breakfast is meagre with little choice. Coffee takes forever to drip through the filter. There is no bar. The "lounge" is a narrow corridor with metal chairs that you have ro put back up on the desks after using. This is not a Chateau hotel or anything near. It is a self catering youth hostel, and if you set your expectations at that level, you won't be disappointed. Personally, I think it is overpriced for what you get. I have stayed at far better places for less money. I will not be going back.

Location in “deep France”, iconic building, size of rooms, price, nice restaurants nearby.

    10ElizabethPosted on: 9-29-2024

Marenne /Maraine was so helpful and welcoming when we arrived and the other days we were there. Nothing was too much trouble for her. She told us all about the charity and work . Very impressed that the hotel was organizrd and run by a young impressive team. Lovely atmospheric place.

Could just maybe have non slip mats in shower trays as could be slippery.

    10AntheaPosted on: 9-18-2024

The rooms are large and clean and bright! Really beautiful location and stunning building. Local woods/forest on the doorstep which is great for the dog!

I didnt have breakfast but the rest of my family did and they said they werent impressed. Howerver, my coffee was wonderful.

    9JanetPosted on: 9-9-2024

The location is great, nice and quiet, with lots of country walks. The breakfast is good. There are a couple of kitchens on the top floor where you can prepare simple food options.

A nice relaxing place. It was great sitting outside in the evening watching the sunset. Huge bedroom, very comfortable. It's nice to know we are supporting the organisation by staying at the Chateau. Please support this Chateau. Thank you.
