The location is very close to a beautiful chateau which is why I chose it and the hotels french charm , the food was good although a little limited on choices, however close by was a pizza place/takeaway and other restaurants. Parking was on the opposite side of the road to the hotel. Our room was at the top with low beams . Breakfast was good and I would stay there again but perhaps in a different room.

There was a unpleasant smell which we believe came up from the sink so had to keep the plug in it and the bathroom door shut, we were there in colder weather and I imagine it would be worse when it gets hotter

The location was excellent as was the cleanliness.

There was a shelf in front of the toilet. Both me and my wife hit their head on it.

Nice authentic tourangel style hotel with lovely restaurant on ground floor. Good breakfast, nice village with Villandry château right next to it. Good big parking lot just other side of the street in front of the hotel.

The tiny village of Villandry is right on the Loire and it was delightful to sit out in the sun sipping the wine!

This was a funny one. The proprietor on arrival told us the hotel was closed apart from our room in an annexe. There would therefore be no breakfast or dinner during our stay. In the event this wasn’t a problem as we were spending our days with family at a local campsite & only required a bed for the night. We would have been very disappointed had we wanted breakfast & an evening meal & would have preferred to know in advance that the hotel was closed

Very charming - the pictures don’t do it justice. Our room had an ac unit which was necessary because it was very hot. With the ac unit, it was perfect.

We arrived there soaked wet because of a surprise storm, we were on bikes... They received us so gently, even though we looked bad... We could dry all our stuff, leave the bikes in a nice place, recover energy and have an amazingly good sleep (very good bed and heating). Thanks to how they received us, the next day we could continue our trip! By the way, we tried the restaurant and it was so good as well!

Perfect location a stone’s throw from the chateau and gardens. The staff were friendly and helpful and the room was just perfect for us with our little dog

When we arrived we had to walk through the hotel looking for someone to check us in. When a man arrived he didn’t greet us or smile but simply asked our names. In the evening we had a drink in the bar outside and ordered water wine and beer. The waitress forgot the wine and beer and brought us double the size carafe of wine we ordered. There were 2 blackboard menus outside and we told her we would like to order food and she told us they didn’t start serving until 7.pm. We waited 40 mins until 7.pm and then tried to order some salads. She got her colleague who had checked us in and he told us that they stopped serving at 7pm and tried to persuade us to have a 3 course dinner in the dining room which we didn’t want. We ended up going next door for a pizza. At breakfast we had a waitress who neither smiled or spoke to us and when I asked where some plates were she just gesticulated to a shelf. We only speak a few words of French and I guess that the language barrier may be part of the problem- but a smile is universal and we were at least hoping for a response to our ‘bonjour’I had cause to wipe up some water on the bathroom floor and was horrified at the dirt on our tissues though the patterned vinyl looked clean.

The hotel was well located with a clean and comfortable room. Cycle parking was in a locked garage 100 metres away. The pre-booked set menu dinner was good.

Everything was perfect, parking across the road. Good restaurant and friendly personal
