    Pros +

    • Excellent in all respects. As an hotelier/restaurateur I love this kind of proprietor run hotel. It is in a very quiet location, convenient for tourism, or relaxing in the grounds, or by the very well maintained swimming pool area.Well designed, comfortable, bedrooms, and bathrooms.Air conditioning!Helpful, welcoming, and efficient staff. There’s a bistro dinner menu on Monday and Tuesday. The rest of the week it is a menu gourmand. The choice is good, and the food delicious on each menu. This is a good idea. There are children’s options on both. The restaurant staff are very helpful with this.Unlike some “gourmand” restaurants this one is delightfully unpretentious in ambiance.Breakfast offers a good choice; including an egg boiler. Big plus. This is not a chain hotel. It has a delightful atmosphere, there are many personal, well thought out touches. It’s a great place whether you’re on your own or with children.
    • Very pleasant surroundings and nice, helpful staff. Delicious food. Would stay there again.

    Cons -

    • Room had low beam ceiling which meant we had to be careful. Bed was small, fine for 1 person but not for 2.
    • Bistrot, stars, location, staff, services, accessibility, facilities, quietness, rooms, beds! Everything 10/10
    • Quite rural and very quiet at night

Beautiful rural location, comfortable room and good food. Restaurant staff were very welcoming especially the waiter from Normandy ( I didn't catch his name) who was so charming.

    8RebeccaPosted on: 8-13-2024

Lovely set up for sharing a room with kids, they were upstairs in two singles and we were downstairs with a kingsize bed and a small terrace with a table to enjoy a glass of wine once they'd gone to bed. The pool area was lovely and table service to the pool was an extra added touch. The hotel has lovely grounds you can walk around, too. The hotel is in a great proximity to lovely towns such as Amboise and great wine shops such as Plos et Fils (which you can also drink at the hotel).

Fabulous charm and character, food was delicious, fairly priced, bed comfy, locations beautiful.

We loved the location, the place is very charming. The staff is very friendly and super helpful. Pool is lovely and nice area to relax. The food is great and so is breakfast. We totally loved our stay ?

A very luxurious feel to the hotel from the moment I arrived. Friendly staff and the room was spotless. The grounds in the sunshine are so relaxing and the pool with its retractable roof means you can enjoy it regardless of the weather. Would happily stay again.

Literally everything was amazing. Super quiet beautiful spot! Rest for the soul, more perfect than expected. Great experience at the Bistrot! Good quality produce and a full delicious breakfast. Friendly helpful staff would recommend it! Easy to access multiple chateaus and wineries. Close to various cute french towns! I really really really loved it!

Beautiful Property. Amazing breakfast. We had been here 35 years ago and wanted to come back. We were very happy. Hotel has been kept in tip top condition. Staff is so friendly, kind and welcoming.

Attached restaurant was excellent. Shower didn't drain well.

Door lock to room was very difficult to open/lock. Our room had outside entrance and main hotel was locked up till 730am when staff arrived.

Breakfast OK, it would have been preferable to have been served tea/ coffee . Tea very weak .Excellent waiter service for dinner.Nice pool

Very limited dinner menu that didn't change over the week

    8JaninaPosted on: 7-3-2023

Our room was comfortable with a lovely little courtyard that we made use of. We ate at the bistro equivalent for dinner as the restaurant was closed on the night we were there and the food was still good despite that. We loved the pool which we made use of several times during our stay. Staff were friendly and accommodated our desire to play cards and have drinks from the bar.

It's a pity that the restaurant was closed on the night that we were there.

The location is great to explore Loire on bike. The hotel itself has a huge woodland. I did my little parkrun there. The staff are extremely helpful.

The Resterant was expensive. Food was nice.

    8CharlesPosted on: 6-10-2023

Staff service was very good, and they were very flexible to ensure that the room met our needs. The food was good if expensive.

The hotel was not well set up for people with mobility issues, though efforts were made to overcome the problem, a lift to the upper floors would have been good. The road to the hotel was in poor condition.
